Correction: In the last Friday edition of the Sen- tinel, a photograph was identified as being An- thony Jefferies. We have since learned that it was an incorrect photograph. The Sentinel apologizes for any inconvenience the error may have caused the family.
Anthony Jefferies had only been in town for two days last Sunday when he was shot and killed. He had lived in Tampa in 2002, had later moved to Orlando, where he had established his life.
He was employed and was the father of a young daugh- ter. However, on the evening of August 26th, shortly after 5 p.m., deputies with the Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s Office responded to 14352 Lucerne Drive. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered a man had been injured by gunfire. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died. He was identified as 25-year-old Anthony Jefferies.
Ms. Courtney Jerry, his cousin, said, Jefferies was the third of eight chil-

During the investigation, police have identified 27- year-old Travis Joshua Gray, as the person involved in the shooting. Gray is de- scribed as being 6’2” and weighs 175 pounds.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest for second-de- gree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
