LeBron James has caught some flak for the way he supports his son and his son’s teammates during their games, but he’s not apologiz- ing for his behavior.
James attended his son’s high school game Saturday night that was nationally tel- evised by ESPN3. James spoke with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols before the game, which was between Bronny’s Sierra Canyon squad and St. Vincent-St. Mary’s (the high school Le-

In the interview, LeBron defended the way he enthusi-
astically supports his son. “Absolutely not. It’s all about support for me, and it’s all about the love of the game too. Without the game of bas- ketball, I wouldn’t be here. My son wouldn’t be here, our family in this position. The game has given me so much, I feel like it’s my duty to give the game back. All the energy and all the excitement and giving my son pointers, and him giving me inspiration ... he’s motivating me tonight,”
James said.
Dion Waiters Suspended In Part For Posting Boat Picture On Instagram While ‘Sick’
DION WAITERS
The Miami Heat on Thurs- day suspended Dion Wait- ers for the third time this season, and we now know in part why he was suspended.
Five Reasons Sports Net- work’s Ethan J. Skolnick reported on Sunday that the Heat were irked by a photo Waiters posted on Insta- gram that showed him out on a boat. This photo was posted at a time when Waiters had informed the team he was ill.
Waiters’ Instagram is now private, and the photo is said to no longer be on his ac- count. But this is the latest in- cident involving him that has upset the team.
Waiters was suspended a game to start the season. Then he was suspended 10 games for having a medical issue on a team flight after taking a THC edible. He was suspended six games on Thursday for a failure to ad- here to team policies, viola- tion of team rules, and continued insubordination.
Waiters has not played in a game this season for Miami. Heisinthethirdyearofa four-year, $52 million con- tract.
Kobe Bryant always seems to be in the right place, at the right time.
The former Los Angeles Lakers superstar was captured on video at a crash scene in Newport Beach, California on Friday, comforting crash vic- tims and directing traffic, all while wearing a pink track- suit.
While the accident ap- peared to be pretty major, the extent of the motorists' in- juries are unknown at this time. Multiple cars were in- volved in the collision, and judging by the foggy weather, it's not hard to see how the ac- cident could have happened.
KOBE BRYANT
This isn't the 41-year-old's first time making sure that car crash victims weren't injured. Back in 2018, in the same city, he witnessed a car run a red light and crash into another car. Bryant got out of his car to make sure the driver was OK.

Consecutive Road Win
The Los Angeles Lakers managed to pull off a close 101-96 win against the At- lanta Hawks.
The team’s offense got off to a slow start as they failed to scratch from the field until LeBron James was able to get to the basket for a layup. The defense soon picked up, turning the Hawks over and forcing misses to help ignite some transition opportuni- ties.
Even with both teams struggling to get anything going, Atlanta managed to tie the game after hitting back- to-back threes.
Anthony Davis looked to carry the offense toward the end of the quarter as he was able to convert on a few attempts but the Lakers

trailed 24-25 heading into the second.
Dwight Howard fueled their defensive effort with a couple of blocks and a steal on Trae Young which helped them take the lead. Rajon Rondo also took ad- vantage of Atlanta’s leaky de- fense with drives to the rim that resulted in easy layups.
