Three Men Arrested On Armed Robbery Charges
Reward Climbs To
Three men from Auburn- dale were taken into custody early Saturday and charged with robbery. The arrests fol- lowed a traffic stop.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a state trooper observed a 2004 Jeep SUV driving recklessly on I-75 southbound and Fletcher Avenue. The vehicle was observed traveling be- tween 100 and 110 miles per hour. The driver was report- edly cutting in and out of traffic and following too closely.
The trooper said the Jeep abruptly passed his marked unit and he paced the vehicle traveling 81 miles per hour. He activated his emergency lights in an attempt to make a traffic stop. However, the driver failed to stop, but did not make any evasive moves or actions.
The trooper said the vehi- cle pulled over about a minute later into the emer- gency lane and stopped.

A reward for information leading to the identity and arrest of a bank robbery sus- pect has reached $50,000. The reward is being offered by several law enforcement agencies.
The rewards are being of- fered by the following agen- cies: the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), $10,000; ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, To- bacco, Firearms and Explo- sives), $10,000; Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay, $3,000; Mid-Florida Credit Union, $12,000; and Brink’s $15,000.
The multi-agency task force consists of the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investiga- tion), ATF (Bureau of Alco- hol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives), Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Clearwater Police Depart- ment, Pinellas Park Police Department, and FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement), is asking for the public’s help.

The man is wanted in connection with the rob- beries of five banks in Hills- borough and Pinellas Counties over the last year. A reward of up to $50,000 is available for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
The task force also be- lieves this suspect may be connected to two carjackings in St. Petersburg. Both inci- dents occurred at 8101 4th Street North on August 26, 2019 and November 4, 2019.
In all five bank robberies, the suspect passed a note to the teller and displayed a black, semi-automatic hand- gun. The robberies took place on the following dates and lo- cations: October 22, 2018, Mid-Florida Credit Union, 825 West Brandon Boule- vard, Brandon; February 22,
marijuana. He also observed the occupants making move- ments inside the vehicle, po- lice said.
All three men were de- tained and the vehicle was searched. Investigators found three loaded handguns con- cealed under the seats, nearly $2,000 in cash, new packs of cigars, rolls of change, new scratch off tickets, a victim’s wallet and identification, and a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The trooper then con- tacted local law enforcement agencies and learned that an armed robbery had occurred in Pasco County on State Road 54. A second robbery had been committed before
that robbery in Hillsborough County. It was determined that the suspects matched the description of the armed rob- bery suspects.
The men were identified and taken into custody. The driver was Eddrick Trereil Wright, 24, Amere Khambrel Benjamin, 21, and 22-year-old Kaylob Logan Davis, all of Auburn- dale.
Their charges included reckless driving, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, drug charges, and pos- session of stolen property, possession of drug parapher- nalia charges. They were transported to the Hillsbor- ough County Jail.

In addition to the five bank robberies and two car- jackings, the suspect is wanted in connection with the attempted robbery of a Brink’s Armored Car. In that incident, the driver of the ar- mored car was shot in the bullet proof vest and in the lower body. A Good Samari- tan who attempted to help the driver was also shot. Both are recovering from their in- juries, police said.
The suspect is described as a Black man between the ages of 30 and 40 years; 5’10” to 6’ feet in height, with a slender build. He wears a black and gray dreadlocks wig and possibly has gold teeth. He should be consid- ered armed and dangerous, officials said.

Eleven Pinellas County residents have been indicted on federal drug traffic charges. Beginning on an un- determined date, but no later than August 2018, and con- tinuing through November 26, 2019, the defendants con- spired to distribute heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine.
Several of the suspects were already in custody be- fore the indictment was un- sealed. Four of the suspects are family members.
