Janet Ballard, 53, loves learning about and catering to each of her customer's needs, even with a party of 12 people. On Dec. 11, her needs were
taken care of, too.
But it wasn't just Ballard's
incredible service that inspired James Deal and his friends to each contribute $100 to her tip. The group of Christian church-goers felt a generous blessing was the right thing to do, especially around the holi- days.

Janet Ballard, who has been with the Tennessee- based chain for more than a decade, was enjoying a typical day at work Wednesday when she was assigned a table of 12 for lunch. What she didn't re- alize was that this group of people would give her an unimaginable gift by the time they finished their meal.
"I connected with them im- mediately," Ballard, a 53- year-old mom to two grown children, told TODAY Food. "I’m a people person. I start with greeting them and finding out what needs they have, if they have allergies or whether

Texas Rapper Accused Of Killing Officer Arrested, Brought To Court In Slain Sergeant's Handcuffs
BOSTON -- A man con- victed of stabbing two doctors to death in their luxury Boston condominium was sentenced Friday to life in prison without parole.
Bampumim Teixeira, 33, requested not to be in the courtroom when the sentence was handed down because he said he wouldn't control him- self.
Instead, he observed from another room via video while surrounded by armed court of- ficers.
He will serve two consecu- tive life sentences at the state's maximum security prison in Walpole for killing Drs.

Field's brother, Jason Field, delivered a tearful speech in which he described his brother as his “life adviser and best friend," the best man at his wedding and his room- mate in college. He called Teixeira a “monster.”

"Upon following up at the hospital, officers discovered Mr. Allen succumbed to his injuries and hospital staff sub- sequently contacted the Geor- gia Bureau of Investigations, who took custody of Mr. Allen's body."
