“So many people tried to take photos of Bell, at some point he asked two gal pals to block him by dancing in front of him.”

Chris Paul Ejected From Game 1 After Picking Up Second Technical
Killed, Giants Pick
Hurt In Shooting
The second round playoff series between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets looks like it is going to be as good as advertised, and frustrations boiled over for Chris Paul in Game 1 to the point where he was ejected.
With the Rockets trailing 103-100 and looking to tie the game in the final seconds, James Harden missed a three-point attempt and drew some contact from Dray- mond Green. No foul was
called, and players and coaches on the Houston side were livid. Paul got the re- bound and felt he was then fouled by Stephen Curry, but
A Washburn University defensive back was killed in a shooting Sunday morning in Topeka, Kansas. The shoot- ing also injured teammate Corey Ballentine, who was drafted by the New York Gi- ants on Saturday.
Washburn president Jerry Farley confirmed that Dwane Simmons, 23, was killed in the shooting in a let- ter to the school Sunday. Bal- lentine is expected to make a full recovery, Farley wrote.
According to police, Bal- lentine was taken to a hospi- tal with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
A preliminary investiga- tion determined that the shooting occurred during a social gathering outside a res- idence, Topeka police spokes- woman Gretchen Koenen said in an email Sunday

evening. She said dozens of people were at the gathering, and police were working to gather evidence and witness statements.
"We want to emphasize that we need those who were present to let us know what they saw,'' Koenen said.
Simmons, a defensive back who was entering his senior season in 2019, played in 22 games in three seasons at Washburn.
the officials ruled that it was Golden State ball after going out of bounds.
James Harden Does Not Think Officials Were Fair In Game 1
James Harden does not think he was officiated fairly in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals be- tween the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors on Sunday.
There were three plays in the first half where a defender seemed to land in Harden’s landing space in the first half. None were called fouls. Then there were two high-profile incidents where fouls were
not called. The lack
of calls influ- enced the game and helped the Warriors win 104-100.
Following the game, HARDEN Harden said he wanted a “fair chance” from
the officials.

Kansas City Chiefs re- ceiver Tyreek Hill has been suspended from the team less than 24 hours after audio emerged of him threatening his fiancee over an alleged child abuse incident involv- ing their 3-year-old son and his broken arm. At one point, he is heard telling his baby mama: “You need to be terri- fied of me too, bitch.”
A child abuse investiga- tion involving the NFL star was concluded after Johnson County district attorney Steve Howe said he could- n’t prove which parent abused the child. But then the audio was released and soon after, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach told reporters on Thursday that Hill was suspended from the team.
“As soon as the draft con- cluded, after the last pick, I had the chance to call Drew Rosenhaus [Hill’s agent]
TYREEK HILL
and we decided that at this time and for the foreseeable future, Tyreek Hill will not take part in any team activi- ties,” he said.
The audio was reportedly recorded by Hill’s fiancee, Crystal Espinal, in early March, as an “insurance pol- icy” — and then a friend passed it to KCTV in Kansas City.
KCTV has released the audio — and the tape is re- portedly now in the posses- sion of the District Attorney’s Office.
