JAY-Z’s Roc Nation And Long Island University Team Up To Launch New School In Brooklyn
Former 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' Star Benzino Arrested — Again
JAY-Z is helping to shape the minds of future genera- tions of college students.
The 50-year-old rapper's entertainment company, Roc Nation, is partnering with Long Island University to launch the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertain- ment.
The new school at the uni- versity is located in the "Song Cry" rapper's hometown of Brooklyn, New York, and will offer undergraduate degrees in music, music technology, en- trepreneurship and production and sports management.

rolling students for the fall 2021 semester and 25% of the incoming freshmen class will
receive Roc Nation Hope Scholarships, which will allow them to graduate debt-free and receive individualized support and mentorship. The Roc Na- tion Hope Scholars will be se- lected from a pool of academically competitive, New York-based first-time fresh- men with the highest need.
In addition to learning from professors, students will also engage with guest artists and lecturers and will gain hands- on experience through intern- ships so that they graduate with hands-on experience and a network of professional con- tacts.
BRASELTON, GA – For- mer Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star and ex-owner of The Source Benzino has been ar- rested again. This time, TMZ reports he flew into a “jealous rage” and took it out on the mother of his child’s boyfriend — and the man’s truck.
The incident allegedly took place on Friday (July 31) in Braselton, Georgia where his ex Althea Eaton was hanging out with her new man. E! News Canceled After 29 Years Due To COVID-19
Sony Acquires Rights To
After nearly three decades, E! News has been canceled.
The network’s parent com- pany, NBCUniversal an- nounced on Tuesday that the entertainment-centric series, which premiered on E! back in 1991, has been axed due to the coronavirus’ negative affect on Hollywood, Entertainment Weekly reports. Other E! show’s, including Pop of the Morning and In the Room, have also been canceled.
Although the show was cur- rently hosted by Lilliana Vazquez and Scott Tweedie, it was responsible for giving a platform to many Black entertainment journal- ists, including Alisha Davis,

After a fierce bidding war between multiple studios and streaming platforms, Sony and Tristar Pictures have procured rights to I Wanna Dance With Somebody. Named after Whitney Houston’s classic 1987 hit single, the biographi- cal motion picture will be based on her life and career.
The biopic will be helmed by Stella Meghie, who di- rected The Photograph star- ring Issa Rae and Stanfield, while Anthony McCarten, the writer behind the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, will pen the screenplay, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film is slated for a Thanksgiving 2022 theatrical release.
Pat Houston, the executor of Houston’s estate, is a co- producer along with music producer Clive Davis.
While many details about the biopic are currently un- known, the producers de- scribed the film to Deadline as

a “joyous, emotional and heart-breaking celebration of the life and music of the great- est female R&B pop vocalist of all time.”
I Wanna Dance With Somebody will follow Hous- ton’s journey from her child- hood in New Jersey to her becoming one of music’s biggest superstars. The film will also delve into her tragic demise.
