Attorneys Respond To Death Of Justice Ginsburg

Justice Ginsburg be- came the second woman to serve on the high court fol- lowing Sandra Day O’Con- nor.
Mourners were given the chance to bid goodbye at the Supreme Court Wednesday and Thursday. Her body was moved to the U. S. Capitol on Friday, where it will lie in state.
Justice Ginsburg is the first woman in history to lie in state at the U. S. Capitol. A private burial will take place next week at Arlington Na- tional Cemetery.

U. S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Gins- burg died last Friday after losing a battle with pancre- atic cancer. She was 87- years-old.

pointed to the U. S. Supreme Court in 1993 and remained a jurist until her death. She was nominated by Presi- dent Bill Clinton and was viewed as a moderate judge, eventually shifting to the lib- eral wing. During her tenure, she became known for her advocacy of gender equality,
