MS. GAIL YVONNE JOHNSON
Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Gail Yvonne Johnson, who passed away on July 11, 2019, will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at 2 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Pastor Lucy Jordan of New St. Peters Apos- tolic Church, Inc., officiating. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Ms. Gail Yvonne Johnson was born on March 18, 1969 to the parentage of George Dreans and Louise B. Johnson in Tampa, Florida. Ms. Johnson was edu- cated in the public schools of Hillsborough County.
She was a Receiving Clerk with a local Retail Shipping and Receiving Company prior to her illness.
Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by: her mother, Louise B. Johnson and father, George Dreans.
Ms. Gail Yvonne Johnson is survived by 2 sons, Elliott Joyce and Levi Watkins; daughter, Tiffaney Coleman; grandchildren, Kaylani Watkins, Khrisiani Bal- comb and Christopher Balcomb, Jr.; brothers, Walter Sampson (Renee), Bertran Sampson, Dempsey Wingo and Vernon Wingo; sisters, Darlene Davis, Geraldine Stokes (Tommy), Eleanor Wingo and Alfreda Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other rela- tives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, July 19, 2019, at Wilson Fu- neral Home from 5 – 8 p. m.
Friends are asked to assemble at the chapel on Saturday at ap- proximately 1:45 p. m. for the

    Mr. Willie Williams, Jr. and Mother Allice E. Williams were called home to be with the Lord on July 8, 2019. A celebration of love and life will be held Satur- day, July 20, 2019, at 10 a. m. at New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2511 E. Columbus Drive, Tampa, FL 33605, Rev. Larry L. Roundtree, II, Pastor, with Pastor Roychester Jacobs, presiding and Rev. Clarence M. Nathan, eulo- gist. Interment will follow at Sun- set Memorial Gardens, 11005 N. US-301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
Willie Williams, Jr. was born on October 24, 1940 in Tampa, FL, to parentage of Doris Williams Newton and Willie Williams. Willie was also lovingly known as “Pete” by his family and friends. He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County and excelled in his academics. He attended Middleton Sr. High School, Tampa, where he gradu- ated with high honors in 1959. He accepted Christ at an early age and instilled the love of Christ in his family.
After serving in the Marine Reserves, Willie entered a career in retail sales and management. He became the first Black Assis- tant Manager of Zayre Retail De- partment Store. He also held the position as Manager at Clark’s Men Store in downtown Tampa. After 5 years there he then took a position with the University of South Florida as Campus Coordi- nator for 7 years. He returned to his passion in retail where he re- tired from the JC Penney Com- pany, after 28 years of service. He enjoyed a very successful working career.
Allice Bacon-Williams was born on September 23, 1939 in St. Petersburg, FL, as a twin daugh- ter to parentage of Robert and Gladys Bacon. She attended the public schools in Pinellas County until she was a sophomore at Gibbs High School. After relocat- ing to Tampa, she attended Mid- dleton High School where she and her twin sister were well known as “high stepping ma- jorettes.” She graduated from Middleton High School, Class of 1958. Allice was employed as an Extension Services Aide through the University of Florida EFNEP program, where she retired after 19 years of service. She educated local homemakers with children receiving state assistance on proper nutrition and meal plan- ning skills for their family. She loved her work dearly and made many lifelong friends in the process.
She was an active member of New Victory Baptist Church in Tampa, where the Rev. Clarence M. Nathan is Pastor. She proudly
served on the Mother Board, Out- reach Committee, and Hospitality Committee. She also facilitated the Intercessor Prayer Group. She led a fulfilling life and pro- vided unconditional love to her entire family and friends. She was prepared wholeheartedly for the day she could leave this life for her eternal life in Heaven.
Willie and Allice were high school sweethearts at Middleton High School and married in 1959. Together they raised their beauti- ful family of two girls and two boys. They were also instrumen- tal in showing love to Allice’s lov- ing twin sister, Annette and her children, (Alicia Felder Nelson, Reginald Felder and Robert Shipp). They were both faithful parents to their children, and tirelessly demonstrated the will and determination to provide guidance, encouragement and love.
Willie was preceded in death by: his siblings, Barbara Jones (sister), Margaret “Tee Tee” Williams-Porter (sister), Lewis Williams (brother), Nathaniel Newton (brother), Sue Newton (sister) and Albert Newton, Jr. (brother).
Allice was preceded in death by: her mother, Gladys Bacon; fa- ther, Robert Lee Bacon; brother, Robert Lee Bacon, Jr. and twin sister, Annette Bacon.
Willie and Allice leave cher- ished memories with: their loving children, Felecia Copeland and husband, Albert of Kennesaw, GA, Michael Williams and wife, Penny, Antonette Williams- Smith, Steven Williams and wife, Sonji; grandchildren, Brandi Felder, Kristin Felder, Ryan Felder of Kennesaw, GA, Michael Williams, II, Sheldon Williams, Tellis Lawrence, Steven Williams, II, Ambria Williams, Cameron Williams, Keshaun Eanes, Kiana Eanes.
Willie is survived by: his sis- ter, Earlene Williams; brothers, Julius Newton and James P. New- ton, “JP;” and niece, Sharon Jones.
Allice is survived by: dear niece, Alicia L. Nelson and hus- band, Kenny Nelson; nephews, Robert Shipp and Reginald Felder; sister-in-law, Freddie Bacon, and all connected nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation and wake for Mr. and Mother Willie, Jr. and Allice Williams on Friday, July19,2019,from5p.m.–7p. m. at New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday at approximately 9:45 a. m. for the service.
