DK Metcalf Draft Stock Soars After Fast 40 Time
DK METCALF
NFL teams are going to fall in love with DK Metcalf.
The breakout star of the NFL Scouting Combine, Met- calf was timed at 4.33 in the 40-yard-dash on Saturday.
In addition to his blazing 40-yard-dash time, Metcalf did 27 reps on the bench press at 225 pounds and posted a 40.5′′ vertical. His stats all compare well to Julio Jones.
Demaryius Thomas Arrested, Accused Of Vehicular Assault
DEMARYIUS THOMAS
Former Denver Broncos and Houston Texans receiver Demaryius Thomas has been arrested on allegations including vehicular assault stemming from a crash earlier last month.
Police say Thomas was taken into custody Wednes- day after turning himself in. He was also being held on al- legations of reckless driving and not having proof of insur- ance.
Thomas was involved in a crash on Feb. 16, a few days after he was released by the Texans. In a document re- leased Thursday, police said Thomas was driving over 70 mph, more than twice the speed limit, near downtown Denver when his SUV went off the road and flipped end- over-end after hitting a me- dian. Police say the SUV landed on its wheels and one of his two passengers suffered serious injuries.
Safety Toni Harris Makes History By Signing With Missouri NAIA Football Team
ANTOINETTE “TONI” HARRIS
Pay Cut, Said To Be At
Odds With Winston
Veteran receiver DeSean Jackson has been known for being a selfish NFL player throughout his career in the league. And when he signed with the Buccaneers two sea- sons ago, it was expected that he bring those same selfish talents with him.
Well, he has.
A report by FanSided’s Matt Verderame claims that Jackson is not only un- willing to take a pay cut, but he has not had the best QB- WR relationship with Bucs’ franchise quarterback Jameis Winston.
According to a source with knowledge of the situa- tion, Jackson and Win- ston were at odds for much of the 2018 season. Jack- son, 32, struggled to work well with the embattled quarterback, something that could expedite his departure from the Buccaneers this off- season. Tampa Bay has tough decisions to make, ap- proximately looking at $17.51 million of cap space this spring.
Going forward, the un- derstanding is that Jackson is unwilling to take a pay cut to remain with the Bucca- neers.
JAMEIS WINSTON AND DESEAN JACKSON
The rocky relationship between Jackson and Win- ston is no secret. There were rumblings of this during the season, especially the week former head coach Dirk Koetter revealed he sat both of them down for a talk.
However, if Jackson is truly unwilling to take a re- duced salary and not be will- ing to work things out between he and Winston, then the Buccaneers should part ways with the receiver.
Head coach Bruce Ari- ans told Bucs Nation’s James Yarcho this week at the NFL Combine that he felt talks went well with the 32- year-old receiver, but to ask Jackson to see how he feels talks went. That’s typically code for both parties not re- ally seeing eye-to-eye during the conversation.
Antoinette “Toni” Har- ris made history Tuesday when she signed a letter of in- tent to play football at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.
According to Central Methodist, Harris is “set to become the first female foot- ball player in school history and the first female skill posi- tion player to sign a letter of in- tent to play college football on a scholarship.”
Harris made the an- nouncement Tuesday at East Los Angeles College, where she played safety last season. Ac- cording to the school’s website, Harris appeared in three games and was credited with three tackles and a pass breakup as a safety. She’s listed at 5-foot-5, 135 pounds with Detroit as her hometown.
In addition to Central
Methodist, Harris had a scholarship offer to play at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan.
Harris appeared in a Super Bowl commercial for Toyota featuring an empower- ing message about women ath- letes narrated by Jim Nantz, and said she selected Central Methodist and coach David Calloway before her popular- ity increased after the adver- tisement.
“I picked Central Methodist because of the resilience within the school itself and how Coach Calloway had been communicating with me before the Super Bowl stuff ever popped up,” Harris said.
Central Methodist is a member of the NAIA’s Heart of America Athletic Conference along with Baker, MidAmerica Nazarene and Benedictine.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has pleaded not guilty to two counts of misdemeanor solic- itation of prostitution in a Florida case, according to court documents released Thursday.
Kraft’s attorney Jack Goldberger filed the written plea with the Palm Beach County court on Wednesday. Kraft, 77, is requesting a non-jury trial.
Kraft was among hun- dreds of men charged in a crackdown on massage parlor prostitution and an investiga- tion into human trafficking at Florida spas.
Jupiter, Florida, police say in court documents that Kraft was chauffeured to the Or- chids of Asia Day Spa in a 2014 white Bentley on the evening of Jan. 19, where investigators

Kraft returned 17 hours later, arriving at the upper- middle class shopping center where the spa was located in a chauffeured 2015 blue Bent- ley, the documents said.
He then flew to Kansas City to watch his Patriots defeat the Chiefs in overtime hours later.
Veteran NFL defensive back Adam “Pacman” Jones was arrested early Wednesday at a casino in southeast Indiana.
The 35-year-old free agent was arrested on charges of dis- orderly conduct and public in- toxication at the Rising Star Casino.
Police were reportedly called to investigate a patron for possible cheating in the casino’s table games room sometime after 3 a.m.
According to reports an in- cident report stated that “Upon arrival, (Jones) im- mediately became verbally combative and disorderly with IGC Enforcement Agents” and casino personnel. Jones was
