MRS. GLADYS BEATRICE ADAMS
Mrs. Gladys Beatrice Adams, 71, born December 23, 1950, tran- sitioned on January 3, 2022. She was born in Murfreesboro, North Carolina and relocated to Tampa, Florida, after her stay in New York and Georgia. She loved her church and the beach.
Gladys was a mother of 2, grandmother of 3 and great- grandmother of 1. A memorial service will be held January 29th in Georgia.

MR. HERBERT OWEN ALEXANDER
Herbert (Herb) Alexander 68, of Jacksonville and Tampa Florida, died on December 30, 2021, due to many health complications.
Herb was born August 26, 1953.
He will be greatly missed by: his devoted and forever loving wife, Sonya M. DeVoe, son, Justin Alexander, step-son, Taius Davis, grandsons, Jaylin Alexander, Jai Alexander, Tristen Davis, Taius Davis, Jr., and great grandson, Jaylin Alexander, Jr.
Herb is survived by: his sib- lings, Rubin Alexander (Deborah), Arimentha Best (William), Albert Alexander, Romentha Carwell (Skip); best friend, Edward Cooper; special uncle and aunt, Joe and Gwen Gibson; and a host of other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Rubin Alexander; mother, Ruby (Gibson) Alexander; broth- ers, Sydney and Clarence (Buck) Alexander; special cousins, Alfred and Joseph (JoJo) Gibson, III.
Herb graduated from Hillsbor- ough High School in 1971. He at- tended FAMU, but graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Theater in 1977. His life career was a Jack- sonville Firefighter.
Herb was an extraordinary hus- band, father, nephew and friend. He loved fishing and ran a chil- dren’s theater group. He also spent several years working with at-risk kids in an alternative school in Jacksonville.
We will have a celebration of Herb’s life on February 26, 2022. The time and date will be an- nounced in February.
