MRS. CAROLYN DAVIS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Carolyn Davis of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 will be held Saturday, August 19th, 11 a. m. at St. John Cathedral Church, 3401 E. 25th Ave., Pastor Dwight Newkirk, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Carolyn Davis was born in Coleman, Florida on Septem- ber 23, 1946 to the late Albert and Beulah (Richards) Caruthers. She attended school in Coleman, Florida, and moved to Georgia to complete high school before making Tampa her home.
Carolyn was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 36 years and retired as a laundry and linen service supervisor. She married her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert Earl Davis, on July 20, 1967. Carolyn was an ac- tive member of St. John Cathe- dral Church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by: her father, Albert Caruthers; mother, Beulah Richards-Caruthers; and son, Kenneth Caruthers.
Those left to cherish her memories are: husband, Robert Davis; son, Demettrius Edge (Leeza); daughter-in-law, Pamela Wilson-Caruthers; granddaugh- ters, LáKendra Caruthers, Kenyetta White (Jamar) and Ky- narra Caruthers; step-grandchil- dren, Sierra Walker, Raven Britton, Leeza Britton, Marcus Shelton; great-grandsons, Ken- neth Caruthers and Jamar White, Jr.; step-great grandchil- dren, Lyaira Barnett, Donte Bar- nett, Jr., Aylani Barnett, and Skye Barnett; goddaughter, Nicole Brown (Kenneth); broth- ers-in-law, Eugene Davis (Allie), Herb Greene (June), Terrel Davis (Cheryl), Rodrick Davis (La- Queta), Leonard Figgs (Betty) and Robert Figgs (Loretta); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 18th, from 5-8 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

MR. EUGENE HEARN
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Eugene Hearn of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017, will be held Saturday, August 19th, 11a.m.atNewHopeM.B. Church, 3005 E. Ellicott St., Rev. Larry Mouton, Jr. pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Hearn was born in Tampa, FL on September 7, 1945 to Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Hearn, Sr. He was a graduate of Middleton Senior High School, served in the U. S. Army and attended the Univer- sity of South Florida. During his 30 years with Allstate In- surance Company, he pro- vided many innovative ideas that became company policy and retired as Claims Man- ager. Eugene was recruited from retirement to manage the Property Claims Division at United Property & Casualty In- surance Company. He was a true professional who self- lessly shared his expertise to help others.
In addition to his success in the insurance field, Mr. Hearn cultivated his love of the out- doors into a thriving lawn care and landscaping business. Many of his clients won “Yard of the Month” using his cre- ative designs.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Dudley and LeaCee Hearn; sister, Lucille Hearn; nieces, Leticia Thomas and Regina Jones; and broth- ers-in-law, Mr. Gortrell Mick- les and Dr. David Robinson.
Memories will be cherished by: his loving and attentive wife, Michelle Hearn; sister, Yvonne Mickles; brother, Dud- ley Hearn, Jr. (Debra); in- laws, Clarence and Alma Grier of Lakeland, FL; sister-in-law, Dr. Kimberly Robinson of Or- lando, FL; brother-in-law Clarence Grier, Jr. (Dr. Har- riet Grier) of Houston, TX; nieces, Michelle Thomas, LeaCee Mickles, Ovieda Hearn of Tampa, Tanisha Hearn of Cleveland, OH, Danielle Robinson of Atlanta, GA, and Gabrielle Grier of Houston, TX; nephews, Eugene Hearns and Walter Thomas of Tampa, Jerome Adams, Kevin Adams, Marlon Simmons of Cleveland, OH, David Robinson, Jr. of Washington, DC, and Caleb Grier of Houston, TX; a host of cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and great friends.
The visitation will be held at New Hope M. B. Church on Friday, August 18th from 5 to 8 p. m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Satur- day for the service.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Rodrick Jermaine Nelson- Vickers of Tampa, FL, who passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017, will be held Saturday, Au- gust 19th, 2 p. m. at Holy Out- reach House of Prayer Assembly, Inc., 7935 N. Armenia Ave., Dr. Ala Faye Nelson-Vickers, Pastor, with Pastor Jerome Kite, officiat- ing. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rodrick was born on March 20, 1987 in Tampa, Florida. Ro- drick enjoyed singing, dancing and playing dominos.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Bishop Benjamin Willie Nelson and Lester Vickers; grandparents, Walter Revear, Sr. and Ethelrene York.

MRS. ERNESTINE BROWN SMITH
Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Ernestine Brown Smith, who passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017, will be held at Light Of the World Church, 4701 N. 15th St., Tampa, FL, 33610, Satur- day, August 19, 2017 at 10 a. m.
Mrs. Ernestine Brown Smith was born on February 8, 1931 in Davenport Florida, to Rosalie and Albert Brown. She was a resident of Tampa for over 40 years. She served as a teacher for Saint Paul United Methodist. Mrs. Ernestine also served faith- fully as a Pastor of the Holy Ghost From Heaven Church. She was a chaplain in the Eastern Star and was also a member of the American Le- gion. Mrs. Earnestine gradu- ated from Beulah Baptist Seminary school under the tutelage of the late great, Rev. Leon Lowry. She also served as a member of a prison min- istry.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Mr. Man- ning Smith; her son, David Smith; and her parents, Ros- alie and Albert Brown.

North Bay St., Tampa, FL 33610, Pas- tor Otis Cooper, officiating. In- terment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
Dorethea was born April 30, 1956 to the late Christine Barn- hill and Freddie Barnhill Sr.
She was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Freddie Barnhill, Jr.
She leaves to cherish mem- ories: Freddie Barnhill, Sr.; children, Letitia Edgerson, Jerome D. McCray, and Vanessa Barnhill; grandchil- dren, Jamar, Antonio and Paris; siblings, Earnestine (Troy) Bacon, Patricia (John) Casteel, Rose (Matthew) Hazel- ton, Virginia Barnhill, and William Barnhill; special friend, Robert; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
