Mother Rellis was a native of Luverne, Alabama, born on May 18, 1929 to the parentage of Arthur Mahone and Lucille Wal- lace. She attended Crenshaw County Public Schools where she graduated from Luverne High School as the Valedictorian. Mother Rellis attended State Teachers College, known today as Troy State University. She later moved to Tampa in 1947 and mar- ried Fred Rellis. They resided in Benton Harbor, Michigan before returning to Tampa. Mother Rel- lis retired in 2004. She was em- ployed by Crenshaw County Schools, Hillsborough County Schools, Homemaker Upjohn (28 years), American Cancer Society and Merchants Association.
Mother “Gerri” joined Beulah Baptist Institutional Church in 1960 and she continued to serve faithfully until her demise. She served as a member of the Gen- eral Home Mission, Mass Choir, Sanctuary Ladies Ministry and on the Mother’s Board. Mother Rel- lis was a lifetime member of the National Council of Negro Women and Zeta Amicae Nu Up- silon Zeta Chapter. Mother Rellis loved everyone.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, August 18, 2017 from 5 – 7 p. m. with the family present to re- ceive friends from 6 – 7 p. m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church.
Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday at ap- proximately 12:45 p.m. for the service.

Mother Shirley Jean Redding Shipp was born on October 8, 1940 in Lynn Haven, Florida to the parentage of Watt and Rosa Red- ding. At 4 years of age her family moved to Tampa, Florida. At an early age she was baptized and joined St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the church Choir from a child to adulthood.
She retired from the Hillsbor- ough County Public School System after 26 years of service as a School Bus Driver.
Mother Shipp was a charter member of Cathedral Of Faith Church, where she served faith- fully as a Mother on the Mother’s Board. She was also a member of the Women of Virtue at her church and also a member of the Red Hatters Organization. She was a graduate of Middleton Sen- ior High School (Tigers), Class of 1958.
Mother Shipp was a volunteer for many years with the Abe Brown Prison Crusade Ministry as an Usher. Mother Shipp was a Poll Worker with the Hillsbor- ough County Supervisor of Elec- tions Office for many years stationed at Fair Oaks Recre- ational Center. She was also a No- tary Public in the State of Florida for over 30 years and a lifetime resident of Northview Hills.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day August 18, 2017 from 5 – 7 p. m. with the family present to re- ceive friends at Cathedral of Faith Church, Inc. Friends are asked to assemble at the church at approx- imately 10:45 a. m. Saturday for the service.

MR. OSCAR KNIGHT
Homegoing Service for Mr. Oscar Knight of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on July 25, 2017 will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Minister Willie Kim- brough from New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, of- ficiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Knight was preceded in death by: his parents, Will and Cassie Knight; wife, Jessie Lee Knight; son, Melvin Wilson; daughter, Ossie Mae Tention; son-in-law, John Tention; daughter-in-law, Lou Ethel Sealy Wilson; brothers, Bill and Bernie Knight; and sisters, Ethel Jackson and Della Knight.
Mr. Knight leaves to cher- ish memories of him with: his sons, Johnny Wilson, Steve Knight, Earnest Knight (Sheila), Oscar Knight, Jr. and Daniel Knight; daughters, Mary Rollins (Johnny), Vickie Davis (Henry) and Annette Knight; five generations of grandchildren, great- grand- children and great- grand- child; brother, Addie Will Knight (Flossie); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; daughter-in-law, Flora Wilson and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
Mr. Oscar Knight was born on April 27, 1932 in Omega, Georgia to the parentage of Will and Cassie Knight. Mr. Knight loved fishing, watching Western movies, the Price Is Right and Baseball. His fa- vorite baseball team was the Tampa Bay Rays.
There will be a visitation on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Wil- son Funeral Home from 5 - 8 p. m. Friends are asked to assem- ble at the chapel at approxi- mately 1:45 p. m. for the service.
