ARTIST OF THE WEEK
BY TALK TO EM DA DON
We welcome TTE Truth as our “Artist Of The Week.” This young rapper and activist has graduated during a pandemic this year, class of is 2020.
Truth started doing music because he has always had a good ear for it, and always used to write stories, non-fiction and fiction in elementary school. One day, he started free-styling to a beat at 9-years-old and ever since then, has been making music and using it as an outlet for everything he goes through. Music is his escape from reality and it’s therapeutic!
He has a mix tape out called “Da Truth Hurts,” and it re- leased on November 29, 2019. The mixed tape is on every streaming platform.
Truth says his biggest influ- ence has to be his mom. “I look up to her because no matter how hard life gets, she always continues to keep fighting and making the impossible happen. Without her, TTE Truth would not be possible, She has sacri- ficedalotformetobeinthepo-
sition I am in and i hope to have her strength one day,” Truth said.
When asked what’s makes him different from other artists he says, “I’m different because I keep my music authentic and I have my own sound. Everything I speak about is based off of ex- perience. Experience is the best teacher, so I just use the les- sons. I went through in life and put it all in songs.”
What’s Motivates Truth? His background definitely motivates him. His dad wasn’t much in his life so that moti- vated him to step up and be something great in life for his family. They are all depending
on Him.
What’s Advice Would You
Give Upcoming Artists?
Truth says, “Don’t ever ex-
pect anything from anyone be- cause you are in control of your dreams so when you get told “no,” kick the doors down and fight for everything you want in life. Don’t ever take “no” for an answer.

"Gabrielle Union in- formed NBC of racially offen- sive conduct during the taping of America’s Got Talent, NBC did not 'stand' with her in 'out- rage at acts of racism.' Instead, NBC did not care enough to ei- ther promptly investigate Ms. Union’s complaints or even ask HR to get involved," said Bryan Freedman, Attorney for Gabrielle Union in an of- ficial statement to People.
