Jeezy Shares Voter Motivation 101
Trashing George Floyd In New Comedy Special
Jeezy has been stressing the importance of voting on social media amid his partici- pation in the protests against racial injustice. The Snow- man urged his fellow citizens to get out to the polls on Tues- day (June 9), which was the day of Georgia’s primary elec- tions.
“I know I told y’all I was gonna research this voting thing and get out here and vote,” he said in an Instagram video. “And I do understand that’s not the end-all, be-all, but it is still part of the bigger fight. I respect our youth for getting out there, these young lions for getting out there, causing the ruckus doing what they had to do to get the atten- tion. We gotta keep the energy going and let’s not lose the
Dave Chappelle is back with a new comedy special 8:46, which debuted today on Netflix.
The legendary comedian delivers his scathing takes on politics, celebrity and, of course, Trump. But the 46- year-old really let loose on African-American Trump supporter Candace Owens in response to the vile com- ments about George Floyd after he was killed by Min- neapolis police.
She dug into his past in a disturbing video, claiming he was “no martyr” and made other inflammatory comments about the man who was killed by 44-year-old police officer Derek Chauvin. He was ar- rested May 29 and charged with third degree murder, but that charge was upgraded to second-degree murder.
The three other officers, who watched Floyd die, Thomas Lane, J. Alexan- der Kueng and Tou Thao were fired after the fatal May 25 incident. They were charged with aiding and abet- ting.

Dave Chappelle was not here for it.
He said in the special, which was filmed on June 6 in Yellow Springs, Ohio, “I seen Candace Owens try to con- vince white America, ‘Don’t worry about it. He’s a criminal anyway.’ I don’t give a f— what this n— did. I don’t care what this n— did. I don’t care if he personally kicked Candace Owens in her stanky p—. I don’t know if it stanks, but I imagine it does. If I ever find out, I’ll let you know for sure. I’ll tell like Azealia Banks. I’ll tell.”
message.”
Jeezy continued, “So right
now, I’m heading to the voting polls to vote for my local city officials. So, let’s at least start there with the local city offi- cials. Whether that’s the judge, whomever. We gotta at least
let our voice be heard. So, if you’re out there right now in the ATL, Georgia, and you haven’t voted yet, I think you should do so. It’s still a bigger fight. It’s still a part of the big- ger fight. We ain’t letting up. Believe that!”

Political Statement In
Support Of Black Lives Matter
Janet Jackson is among the many celebrities speaking out in the name of George Floyd and the many other black men and women who have lost their lives at the hands of white police officers.
The pop icon issued a tweet on Sunday (June 7) that refer- enced her 1989 album Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814 and found Jackson speaking the words, “We are a nation with no geographic boundaries, bound together through our beliefs. We are like-minded individuals, shar- ing a common vision, pushing toward a world rid of color lines.”
The post was accompanied

by a clip of the Rhythm Nation imagery and names of numer- ous black citizens who’ve died as a result of police brutality. The clip ends with “#Black- LivesMatter.”
