AIKENS
MR. BEN LEE BROWN
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Ben Lee Brown of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, was held on Tuesday, June 16th, 11 a. m. at Aikens Fu- neral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Mar- tin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Pastor Michael Price, of Vic- tory AME Church officiated. The interment was held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Ben Lee Brown was born on September 24, 1928 in Havana, Florida to the late Ce- lest Allison Mathis. He was ed- ucated in the public schools of Gadsden County.
In July 1950, he was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Lena Ola Jackson Brown, and to this union came 3 children. Ben retired from Morrison Cafeteria after 45 years of ded- icated service. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mayflower AME Church in Havana, Florida. He was a devoted husband, fa- ther, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who worked diligently to be a strong patri- arch and provider for his fam- ily.
Mr. Ben Lee Brown peace- fully went home to be with the Lord and entered eternal rest. His loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Lena Ola Jackson Brown and his sons, Benjamin Brown and Marion Brown preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: 3 daughters, Jackie Brown, Dorine Williams and Chandra Dilworth (Billie); 1 daughter-in-law, Sylvia Brown; 5 grandsons, Alonzo Brown, Shaver Clemons, Markiesta Brown, Clifton Williams (Nichole) and Jovan Dilworth; 5 granddaughters, Toynetta Camon (Aaron), Bre- anna Brown, Katana Jones (Tim), Dewania Seaton (Aun- dray) and Tonya Brown; 17 great grandchildren; 7 great- great grandchildren; devoted cousin, Irene C. Johnson; de- voted niece, Doris Gary; de- voted friend, Johnnie Lippitt; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The visitation was held an hour prior to the service 10 to 11 a. m. CDC guidelines were followed.

Darryl was an avid basket- ball player and in his spare time he enjoyed watching WWE with his grandson, Tarus. He also enjoyed listen- ing to music and spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish fond memories with his loving and devoted wife, Andrea Norton Cummings; son, Darryl Cum- mings, Jr.; daughters, Evita Cummings Mitchell and Kalv- ina N. Cummings; grandchil- dren, Tarus and Kharisma Mitchell and baby Sy’Eir Somers; sisters, Janie Smith (Lorenzo), Velma Deloach and Maxine Riley; aunts, Mamie Lois Barker (Bob) and Lorene Walker; uncles, Arthur Diggs (Joan) and Eddie Diggs; nieces, Sharon Addison (Aaron), Sonia Clark (Oliver) and Tarsha Tucker; nephews, James Brooks, Eric Timmons, Michael, Marcos and Chauncey Riley, Gregory Cot- ton and Calvin McCarthan; aunts-in-law, Rena Guzman and Margaret Woodie Guz- man; uncle-in-law, Costello Guzman; special cousins, Joan Williams (Mark), Ruth Diggins (Eddie), Diane Diggs and Arthur Diggs; 3 brothers-in- law, Melvin Norton, Jr., (Candi), Henry Norton, Sr. (Traci) and Carl Norton, Sr.; former son-in-law, Tarus Mitchell, Sr.; friends, Grady Ferrell, Thomas Murdock, Weldon Buie, Willie Starling, Brian Pittman and Willie Brannon; a host of other rela- tives and friends who will dearly miss him, including the Diggs, Norton Sessler and Guzman families, friends from Central Park, Goose Harlem, 36th Street neighbors and Ruby Diggs and family.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 19th from 5 to 7 p. m. The family will receive friends during the visitation hoursfrom5to6p.m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. The CDC guidelines are being fol- lowed.

MRS. MINNIE LEE GEORGE (‘SISTER’)
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Minnie Lee George (“Sister”) of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020, will be held Sat- urday, June 20th, 10 a. m. at Holy Temple Church, 1215 E. 109th Ave., Bishop Allen John- son, Jr., officiating. The inter- ment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Minnie Lee George was born June 13, 1938 in Riceboro, Georgia. She attended Holy Temple Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Charles, Sr. and Charlotte Brown; siblings, Mary Alvin and Annie Brown.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with: hus- band, Deacon Horace George, Sr.; children, Eleanor Crafton, Horace George, Jr., Linda George, Eloise Bell (George) and Cassandra Lee (James); 13 grandchildren and 25 great- grandchildren; brothers, Char- lie Brown, Jr. (Miriam) and Albert Brown (Gertrude); sis- ters, Martha Jones, Elaine Watkins and Cordella K. Bald- win; goddaughters, Minister Ingrid Young, Jennifer Stid- hum and Alexis Jennings.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, June 19th, from 4 to 6 p. m. The family will receive friends from4to5p.m.Thefamilyand friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.

MR. RUBIN HENRY HAWKINS
A Homegoing Celebration for Rubin Henry Hawkins of Tampa, Florida, who passed who passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020, will be held Saturday, June 20th at 4 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Minister Ernestine Robinson, officiating.
Rubin was a man’s man, who marched to the beat of his own drum! He was full of life and energy. He loved music and dancing. He was loved by many for his humor and zest for life. Rubin was a native of Tampa and proudly worked for Woodruff and Sons for over 30 years. His number one love of his life was his Baby, his wife, Bar- bara.
Rubin was a child of God. He was previously a member of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir for many years. At his passing he went to meet his Savior. We mourn his passing, but know he is in the arms of Jesus.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Samuel Hawkins, Sr., and Annie Hawkins; bother, Ivy Hawkins; sisters, Ossie Brown, Sarah Wesley and Minnie Lee Hawkins.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and lov- ing wife, Barbara Hawkins; children, Thracey Hawkins (Bill Wilson), Kim Hawkins- Williams (Trent), Dahlgren Hawkins, Amber Lamar, Tasha Hawkins, Oscar “Doug” Olds (Shae), Faith Pullen (Stanislaus); bonus children, Jimmie Marshall, Lisa Sims, Loretta Marshall; grandchil- dren, Misty, Nadia, Teia, Tiahna, Devonte, Amari, Sachia, Rev. Darryl was born November 24, 1959, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Jimmy Cummings and Lola Mae Diggs Torres. He was the youngest of six children.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; children, Ane-
sha N. Cummings and Carlos R. Cummings; brother, Richard Deloach; sister, May- bel Cotton; aunt, Eva Hasty; uncles, Cleveland, Clarence and Rufus Diggs; niece and nephew, Lacey Coleman and John Threat; father-in-law, Melvin Norton, Sr.; mother-in- law, Vivian Guzman Norton; sister-in-law, Vivian Norton Smith and grandparents, Wal- ter and Hattie Diggs.
Darryl accepted Christ and was a faithful member of New Greater Friendship M. B. Church until his health de- clined. Darryl was educated in the public schools of Hillsbor- ough County, graduating in 1977 from Chamberlain High School. He attended Hillsbor- ough Community College for a year and later went to trade school for assembly and re- pair.
On August 24, 1983, he was united in holy matrimony to Andrea Letitia Norton. To their union they were blessed with 5 children. Darryl was a technician for DLT Office Fur-
