MR. SHAN TAYLOR
Mr. Shan Taylor transi- tioned to his heavenly home on Sunday, June 14th, 2020. A Graveside Celebration will be held Saturday, June 20th, 2020, at 11 a. m., at Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Tampa, FL 33610. The family is asking everyone to follow the CDC guidelines and wear masks.
Shan Taylor was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, FL. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County. Shan Taylor was affectionately known as “Shane.” He was born to the late Dorothy Taylor and Samuel Ross on August 29th, 1955.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Dorothy Taylor; grandmother, Mary Taylor; un- cles, James Young, Sr., Joseph Harris; cousins, James Young, Jr., Kimberly Harris, Laticia Thomas and Regina Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three children, Shan Taylor, Jr.; Shana Taylor Turner, husband, Rahsann; Shaniya Taylor Clarke; two grandchildren, Liam and Devin Clarke; three brothers, Gerald Abdul-Aziz, Karey Taylor, Sr., and Dennell Taylor; nephews: Karey Taylor, Jr. and Cornelius Wright; aunts, Freddie Mae Young and Daisy Harris; cousins, Hanifah Munadi, Cheryl Young, Sharon Young, Michael Young, Fredrick Young, Reginald Young, Linzy Young, Howard Harris, Robin Harris, Yvonne Nickels, Dudley Hearns, Ovita Hearns, Michelle Thomas, Eugene Hearns, Walter Thomas, Leacee Nichels, Anthony Bryant, Gwen Bryant; and host of other relatives, Central Park Village Family and close friends.
The remains will repose from6p.m.to8p.m.,Friday, June 19th, at But Now Fellow- ship, 5402 56th Commerce Park Blvd., Tampa, FL 33610.

MR. DARROW SUMPTER
A Memorial Celebration for Mr. Darrow Sumpter, “Hard Time,” of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020, will be held Saturday, June 20th, 11 a. m., at Rainbow Min- istries Church of God, 1405 Park Street, Seffner, Florida, Pastor Tyrone Langston, presiding with Supt. Clethen Sutton, eulogist.
Darrow James Sumpter was born September 18, 1966 in Jack- sonville, Florida. He enjoyed the water, deep sea fishing, motorcy- cle riding, traveling and watch- ing crime TV shows. He also enjoyed telling jokes and giving people a “Hardtime.”
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Mary Bevel and step- father, Robert Bevel; father, Ben- jamin Sumpter and godmother, Gwendolyn Williams.
He leaves to cherish his pre- cious memories with: his wife, Taheisha Lashawn Sumpter; children, Darrow, Derrick, Dar- rell, D’Andre and Devin; step- children, Mikeul, Jakiya and Zaire; grandchildren, Dakera, Damiyah, Denario and Dax; a host of nieces, nephews; his brother and best friend, Mike Williams.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.

A Private Graveside Service will be heldf or Ms. Betty Jo Hayes (92) of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020, with Father Theobald Weria, officiating. The interment will follow.
Betty Jo Hayes was born No- vember 24, 1927. She was a long- time member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. Betty Jo was a proud graduate of St. Peter Claver Catholic School, Middleton Senior High School and Clark Atlanta College, class of 1949. She worked a short period of time as an ele- mentary school teacher at both Lomax and College Hill Elemen- tary Schools. She began as a long- term teacher of Business Studies at Middleton Senior High School and was recognized as the “Type- writing Teacher,” who demanded excellence. Betty Jo was also known as the teacher whose stu- dents integrated the City of Tampa offices with expert typing skills.
After 20 years of teaching at Middleton, she transferred in the initial integration to Hillsborough High School, where she retired as Department Head of Accounting and Business Education Subjects and retired after 30 years of serv- ice with Hillsborough County Schools. Betty Jo enjoyed retire- ment for many years. She was a member of Middleton Senior High School, class of 1945, Sigma Chap- ter of Clark Atlanta University and Tampa Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
Her very special family in- cludes: devoted goddaughters, Dr. Paulette Walker, LaCheryl Aikens and Joanell Lawson; special loved family, Anne Chisholm of Cape Coral, Florida, Beverly Odom of New Orleans, Dorothy Crawford of Albany, GA; special loved adopted children, grandchildren and friends, Carlton Gambrell of New York, Yvonne Aikens, Do- lores McIntosh, Curtiss Wilson, Carla Williams, Gloridine McNair, Annie Young Flinn, Nancy Sutton, Lavern Latson, Charlotte Hardy Sawyer, Sherri Day-Phillips and family, Edith Randolph, Emma Jean Morris of St. Louis, Mary Gadson, Wilbert Williams (Juanita), Jessie Berger of At- lanta, GA, Gwendolyn Lewis and Dorothy Clark of New York; her sisters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; special thank you to caregivers, Total Compass Care LLC, Lillian Butler, Sarah Wilson, Tonya Nembhard and the LifePath Hospice, Burgundy Team; neigh- bors, Lynn and Colleen Burnett and Tonya Cielo and Tom Havens.
She will be honored by her beloved, Delta Sigma Theta Soror- ity, Inc., with an Omega Omega Service to be held at a later time due to CDC restrictions.

MS. MARQUIA AZEELA DAVIS
Graveside Celebration for Mar- quia Azeela Davis, who passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11 a. m. at Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 Chelsea Street, Tampa, Florida, with Pastor Alisha Thomas, officiating, Elder Aaron Hayes, eulogist.
Marquia was born in Tampa, on December 4, 2003, to loving parents, Tomika Davis and Larry Roundtree, Jr. She attended the public schools of Hillsborough County.
Marquia was a member of Brown’s Memorial C. O. G. I. C., Bishop Matthew Williams, Pas- tor, where she participated in the Youth Ministry.
She was energetic, loving, car- ing, and consistently maintained a smile that would light up a room. Marquia enjoyed dancing, shop- ping, but most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her maternal great grandparents, Jefferson and Simmie Jordan; parental great grandparents, Mil- dred and Charles Roundtree; great aunt, Dazella Jordan; great uncles, Solomon Roundtree, Curtis Roundtree, Robert, Mike, Sam Williams.

Visitation and Home- going Services for Miss Johnnie Ruth Hubbard who passed away on June 9, 2020, will be held this Fri- day evening from 5 p. m. until 7 p. m. at Harmon Funeral Home, 5002 N. 40th Street, Tampa, Florida 33610, with Pastor Cherry Green, Pentacostal Church Of God, officiating. Interment will be made in Eufaula, Alabama at St. Luke MBC Church Cemetery.
Miss Hubbard was preceded in death by: parents, John Cochran and Emma Lee McLain.
Survivors are: 3 brothers, Otto Miller, Jr., Ronald Burney and Earl Brown, all of Alabama; 2 sis- ters, Minnie Starks and Lynette Brown; 2 nephews, 1 niece, a host of cousins; best friends, Brenda Youngblood, Lisa Hudson (hus- band, Jack), Barbara Jean Baker, Benjamin Hartfield, Benjamin Bryant and Tyree Bryant.
