Travis Scott Entangled In 'Highest In The Room' Lawsuit
Will Smith Uses His Mighty Social Media Platforms To Tackle Racial Injustice
Danish producer Ben- jamin Lasnier has filed a lawsuit claiming Travis Scott’s “Highest In The Room” single used a guitar melody without permission.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Lasnier says he wrote and recorded the track’s guitar refrain in early 2019 before shopping it around to artists and produc- ers. He eventually connected with a man named Jamie Lepe, a.k.a. Jimmy Cash, who’s credited as an engineer on multiple Scott songs.
Lasnier allegedly sent Lepe a beat pack containing the guitar melody, but the two didn’t come to any agreement for its use. He later heard a tweaked version of the melody

Pusha T’s Manager Steven Victor Pledges $1M To Fight Systemic Racism
Steven Victor, the longtime manager of Pusha T, has pledged $1 million to combat racial injustice.
With the donation, the senior vice president of A&R at Univer- sal Music Group is also launch- ing his Victor Victor Foundation. He detailed the reasoning for his choice of cause in a statement to Variety on Tuesday (June 9).
