Church Of God In Christ AIM Convention Has Economic Impact On Tampa Bay Area
The Church Of God In Christ Auxiliaries In Ministry (AIM) recently convened its national convention in Tampa. An estimated 30,000 people from all over the country were in town for the week.
According to Sherri Brown of Visit Tampa Bay, the visitors had an impact of over $30 million in the Bay area for the convention week of July 1-5, 2019, and be- yond. Ms. Brown was instrumental in getting the convention here.
Other conventions Ms. Brown worked on for July were The National Transportation Conference and the National Criminal Justice Conference.
The Opening Night Musical for AIM drew 4,000 in attendance, more than at any other AIM convention, AIM Chairman, Dr. Linwood Dillard said. Florida broke the record for attendance, he said. (Story and photos by Julia Jackson)

Gospel award winner and recording artist, Lynn Pace was one of the participants.
   Musician Patrick Lewis gave directions to Panama cou- ple, Larry and Dari Miller as they arrived for the musical.
Dr. Dorinda Clark Cole captivated the audi- ence as well.
Superintendent Charles Davis and William Sanders were among the attendees.
    Elder Jesse Smalley, Jr. en- Dr. Judith McAllister and Maceo at the opening joyed the musical. night service.
