Tampa’s Best And COACH Foundation Host Another Successful Juneteenth Event
Tampa’s Best and the COACH Foundation, Inc., hosted another successful Juneteenth event.
The 7th Annual Juneteenth Celebration was held on June 15th at the Charles Davis Conference Center. There were several panel discussions, especially about the Juvenile Justice System. Affordable housing was another topic discussed.
More than 250 people enjoyed the discussion, free food provided by Marvin Knight of Oriental Fish Market and Pat and Archie Williams of Archie’s Cater- ing. There were also prizes and entertainment. (Photos by Julia Jackson)
Pastor P. Tucker-Johnson worked closely with Rev. Willie Dixon, founder of COACH Foundation, and host for this event, for the June- teenth events.
Atty. Clinton Paris, Poet Laureate James Tokley and Supt. Clethen Sutton.
Former City Councilman Frank Reddick, Bobby Bowden and City Councilman Orlando Gudes supported the Juneteenth event.
Panelist Donald Dowridge, host, Rev. Dixon, Hillsborough County State At- torney Andrew Warren and in the background, James Cole, who worked with the youth.
City Councilman Gudes, a representative of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and several youth were on the panel.
Public Defender Julianne Holt was also among the speakers.
Rev. Ronald Hubbard was also in attendance.
