The Clinics will be held at the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office, 419 N. Pierce Street, Tampa, 33602.
The first Clinic will take place on Tuesday, Septem- ber 17th.
The second has been scheduled for Tuesday, No- vember 12th.
Both will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
A spokesperson for the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office said, “the clinic will include the prepa- ration of application and re- view by the State Attorney's Office, notary services at no charge, and, for qualified participants, our partners will provide the $75 pro- cessing fee required by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
Volunteer attorneys not
affiliated with the Office of the State Attorney will be on site to answer questions re- lating to sealing or expunc- tion (Expungement).
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, (FDLE) is the legal author- ity that reviews every appli- cation and makes a determination on whether individuals meet the criteria for a Certificate of Eligibil- ity.
The 2019 Hillsborough County Expungement Clinic will include all steps needed to complete the application Certificate of Eligibility for submission to FDLE.
The first Expungement Clinic was held in Hillsbo- rough County last year.
Since then, more than 130 participants success- fully submitted their appli- cations to FDLE at no cost.
This year, there is no pre-registration required.
The first 75 applicants with eligible charges will be accepted at each event.
Those planning to at- tend the event must have valid, government issued, photo identification.
