Bruno Mars To Co-Produce Sitcom
Earlier this year, Floetry marked their comeback with their first show in almost nine years with a 43-date “Reunion Tour.” Well, the reunion is strong, because the soulful duo are prepping a new album and tour in 2016!
Details are hazy right now, but the group is planning to release new material in early
2016, and are looking for booking opportunities in the U.S. from the end of January through April 2016 (see below).
Ticket counts from their 2015 tour include three sold out shows in Atlanta, a sold out show in Charlotte, and an- other sold out show in St. Louis.
Nicki Minaj isn’t the only artist behind an upcoming tel- evision sitcom; Bruno Mars is getting in on the TV action, too.
According to Deadline, the popular singer-songwriter will team up with “Empire” execu- tive producer Brian Grazer to create a pilot for a family, single-camera, music- based comedy, and NBC has issued the greenlight to film a pilot episode.
Mars and writer/music lover Prentice Penny (Brook- lyn Nine-Nine) came up with the idea for the show, which is reportedly about a dysfunc- tional family from the Bronx

and the hilarious stories that ensue when they take in their 10-year-old nephew. However, the show is not autobiograph- ical and it's unclear if Bruno will be contributing any music.

Rowland will add her own signature flavors to the plethora of thirst-quenching flavors already in the collec- tion, as well as appearing in associated print, TV, and so- cial media ads. Not only will her likeness be used, she’s also pen a song for the marketing campaign.
Jennifer McCauley-
Topor, Seagram’s Associate Brand Director, told Eurweb, “What makes Kelly such a great fit for Seagram’s Escapes is that while she is a celebrity musician, actress and global style icon, her friendly, sincere and approachable personality is extremely relatable. She is an inspiration to women prov- ing that ‘you can have it all.
Kelly added, “I’m so excited to be teaming up with Sea- gram’s Escapes.
Last week, it was announced that Stitchers actress Tiffany Hines was cast to play Tamar Braxton in the Life- time biopic Un-Break My Heart based off the memoir of Toni Braxton. Now the en- tire cast has been revealed.
Debbi Morgan (shown above, and known for her roles in “Power” and “All My Chil- dren”) will portray the Brax- ton family matriarch, Evelyn. “Guiding Light’s” Gavin Houston (above) will play Toni’s mentor and collabora- tor Kenny “Babyface” Ed- monds. Cortney Scott Wright, Skye P. Marshall (“Public Morals”) and La-
Toya Franklyn will play Toni’s sisters Tracy, Towanda, and Trina respec- tively.
It was believed that Toni would be playing herself in the film, but as it turns out, 24- year-old actress/model Alexis “Lex" Scott-Davis will play the R&B siren. Davis just so happens to be the niece of pro- ducer Rico Love, and this will be her first major role. How- ever, Toni will "guest star" in the film, as well as executive produce the project.
Lifetime has been heavily criticized in the past with how they cast their biopics.
