Tuskegee University Alumni Club To Host 4th Jazz Luncheon
Tuskegee graduate, Oklahoma attorney, will speak at the Jazz Lunch- eon.
The Tampa Bay Tuskegee University Alumni Club will host its 4th Annual Afternoon of Jazz Scholarship Luncheon on Saturday, June 24, 2017, 11 A. M. – 2 P. M., at the USF Embassy Suites, 3705 Spec- trum Boulevard, Tampa.
Alumni and friends will be treated to a relaxed, yet enter- taining afternoon of sensory sounds provided by special musical guest, Donna Dou- glas and Company. Also appearing will be a jazz quar- tet of amazingly talented stu- dents from Blake High School.
The public is invited to join the Club for this event to provide scholarship awards for the postsecondary aspira- tion of local students who de- sire to attend Tuskegee University. The Mistress of Ceremonies for the event will be Mrs. Jewel Warren, dis- tinguished Tuskegee Univer- sity graduate, and event Committee Chair.
The Honored Guest Speaker for the luncheon will be Mr. Erick W. Harris, a graduate of Tuskegee and at- torney in private practice in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he focuses on general civil litigation and business litigation. Prior to venturing into private practice, Atty. Harris was an Assistant At- torney General for the Okla- homa Attorney General's Office.
He is also an Adjunct Pro- fessor of Political Science at the University of Central Oklahoma.

ATTY. ERICK W. HARRIS ...Honored guest speaker
homa College Of Law and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Oklahoma Journal of Law and Technology. He re- ceived a Master of Public Ad- ministration degree from the University of Oklahoma.
A very community-ori- ented individual, Atty. Har- ris is a volunteer for several organizations and is a mem- ber of the Tuskegee University Board of Trustees and serves as Second Vice Chairman of the Board.
He is also a member of the Oklahoma City Alumni Chap- ter of Kappa Alpha Psi Frater- nity, Inc., the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City, and a mem- ber of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, where he serves as a Deacon and Trustee. He is also a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Na- tion of Oklahoma.
Among his many honors and awards, Atty. Harris is a recipient of the “NextGen Under 30 Award,” which rec- ognizes the next generation of leaders in the State of Okla- homa.
