Tidal In Possible Talks With Samsung
Jay Z the founder of Tidal streaming company.
Looks like Tidal’s ship maybe coming in.
Phone giant Samsung, which enjoys a long relationship with Jay Z’s music streaming serv- ice, has restarted talks to ac- quire the 16-month-old company, several sources told The New York Post.
Samsung has held on-and-off talks with Tidal.
Samsung ponied up some $28 million to sponsor Ri- hanna’s latest album and tour. The 28-year-old singer is a partner in Tidal and is signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation label.
A spokesperson for Samsung said: “It is our policy to not comment on rumors or specu- lation.”
Google and Spotify have also been eyeing Tidal, sources said. Both believe Tidal can bolster their own digital music serv- ices.
Talks the companies are hav- ing with Tidal now appear to be aimed at smaller partnerships, sources said.
Spotify has discussed creat- ing an initiative that could pro- duce a Tidal “powered by Spotify” partnership rather than an acquisition.

Bill Cosby Drops Defamation Suit Against Beverly Johnson
MSNBC host Melissa Har- ris-Perry, 42, has been nixed from the network after waging a public war with her bosses over editorial control.
“Farewell #Nerdland,” Harris-Perry tweeted to her 430,000 followers Sunday, using a nickname for her eponymous show.
“Inviting diverse new voices to table was a privilege. Grate- ful for years of support & criti- cism.”
Her exit comes two days after Harris-Perry an- nounced she was boycotting her own program, as protest against the network’s treat- ment of her show.
Harris-Perry, who is of mixed race, had said her white bosses were sidelining her show — and its focus on tough racial issues — while keeping her around for diversity’s sake.
She said the network con- sidered her "worthless" and

kept her away from political coverage in favor of "relative novices and certified liars."
The dispute reportedly peaked over the network's at- tempted nixing of Harris- Perry's plan to discuss the politically charged Beyoncé single "Formation." The host went along with her segment, but MSNBC cut into it with election coverage.
Bill Cosby has dropped a defamation lawsuit against su- permodel Beverly Johnson, who accused the comedian of drugging her in the 1980s.
Court records show Cosby’s lawyers dropped the suit on Feb. 19.
His attorney Monique Pressley wrote in an email Thursday that Cosby made the move to focus on his de- fense in a criminal case in Pennsylvania.
Cosby is charged there with drugging and sexually assault- ing a former Temple Univer- sity employee at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. He has denied the allegations. Pressley wrote that Cosby

The supermodel has repeat- edly accused Cosby of slip- ping a drug into her cappuccino in his New York home.
Snoop’s Lawsuit Against Beer
Rihanna Debuts New Pumas
Snoop Dogg has managed to make his name universal brand both inside and outside of the studio. With the rapper’s legendary name in hip hop, several businesses have been interested in using it for their own benefits, sometimes with- out . One of those businesses happen to be Pabst Brewing Company, who’s being sued by Snoop for breach of con- tract.
According to XXL, Pabst of- fered Snoop a deal to be their brand ambassador for a new flavored malt-liquor line called Blast by Colt-45. Although the Snoop’s contract was sup- posed to last only three years regarding the terms of agree- ment, it also included a two- year period where the rapper could receive %10 of total prof- its if Blast by Colt 45 or the

The singer's latest collabo- ration with Puma is the Fenty Trainer, a stylish sneaker she designed and will unveil in stores on Friday.
The fashionable footwear comes in three solid shades: red, black and white, and fea- ture an extra-long tongue, sub- tle heel and neoprene finish. The athletic brand named the "Kiss It Better" singer its women's creative director in 2014.

Snoop sued Pabst last year for breach of contact, and re- ceived the favor of the judge despite the alcohol company claiming that they owed him nothing for their actions.
The rapper will be in court this October to settle his case.

Oprah Blamed For Weight Watchers’ Stock Crash
Is The Romance Between Nicki Minaj And Meek Mill Over?

Is Oprah Winfrey to blame for Weight Watchers re- cent stock results?
According to multiple re- ports, the brand was expecting impressive results after she endorsed the popular weight loss program.
Last year, Winfrey and Weight Watchers partnered selling the former daytime talk show queen with a 10% stake for $43.2 million. She also joined the company’s board of directors, became a spokesmodel for the brand, and went on its diet. Winfrey enlisted her BFF CBS morning anchor Gayle King on the diet.
Initially, the strategy worked, with the company’s stock soaring from $6.79 per

share in October to $26.61 a month later.
Reportedly, on Thursday, the company reported a sur- prise 21% drop in fourth-quar- ter revenue, which sent its shares tumbling more than 28%, down to $11.25 a share.
Meek and Nicki Minaj may not be in the best space right now and its reportedly all over his legal status. They may be on the verge of breaking up, reports say. Meek apparently wants Nicki close as he goes through his 90-day house ar- rest in Philly. Basically, he wants her to live in the City of
Brotherly Love for that period of time. She seems fed up and unwilling to contend with this demand, because she is fed up with Meek. Him getting in trouble has worn thin for her, it would seem. Nicki has not posted a pic of her and Meek on instagram in about 5 weeks.
