N9NE Steakhouse For Birthday Meal
The pound for pound best boxer Floyd Mayweather celebrated his 39th birthday by taking his friends and fam- ily out to eat.
However, in what can only be described as surprisingly modest, he decided to take more than 150 to the N9NE Steakhouse.
The affluent fighter was in the company of various beau- tiful women, with welter- weight boxer Ashley Theophane, Ishe Smith and WBC super middleweight champion Badou Jack - who fight under his promotional

stable - also there to join him. Known for his ridiculous wealth ($400million), picking up the check would have barely dented the former five- time world champion’s pocket
and after ordering filet mignon and macaroni and cheese for starters, it was past midnight when the kitchen staff finished serving the menu in its entirety to May- weather and friends.
A man of such acquired, ex- pensive taste, any ordinary birthday cake would have been far from appropriate for ‘Money’, so to finish off the evening, he was presented with the tasty sponge in the shape of a Bugatti car and a Gucci box. Mayweather stated he has no motivation to return to the ring.
Derrick Rose Sits Vs. Trail Blazers; Jimmy Butler’s MRI ‘Looked Good’
DERRICK ROSE And JIMMY BUTLER
CHICAGO — Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose missed his third straight game Saturday night against the Portland Trail Blazers, but Chicago did get some good news on the injury front when the MRI on Jimmy Butler’s injured left knee came back with no surprises.
Rose is dealing with ongo- ing problems with right ham- string tendinitis, and Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg said before Saturday’s 103-95 loss that he is “still sore.”
“I actually worked Derrick out this morning and he looks better,” Hoiberg said. “He looks a lot better than he did the last couple days but [he’s] still having trouble exploding off that leg.”
Hoiberg said that Rose, who sat out his 10th game this season, is still dealing with some “general soreness,” along with the hamstring ten- don issues. Hoiberg does not sound outwardly concerned about Rose’s injury, but it re- mains unclear when Rose will be able to play again.
Steph Curry: Is NBA Star Really The New Michael Jordan?
STEPHEN CURRY ...Record 128 three-point-
ers in 128 seconds
Golden State Warriors’ golden boy Stephen Curry has done it again - set another record, that is.
He’s the first player in NBA history to score a three-point shot in 128 consecutive games, passing a mark set by Atlanta’s Kyle Korver.
That comes just a few days after helping the Oakland- based Warriors - the defend- ing NBA champions - become the fastest-ever side to 50 wins in a season. They beat a record set by Michael Jordan’s all- conquering Chicago Bulls 20 years ago.
The thing is, Curry, 27 - more popularly known as Steph - just keeps on getting better. But could he take something else from Jordan - his status as the game’s greatest ever player?
President Obama is a big fan.
Curry was voted last sea- son’s Most Valuable Player after becoming the talisman that turned around an unfan- cied side and made them champions.
That’s largely down to his shooting skills. He’s the three- point master with 1,457 three- pointers in his seven-year career to date. It means he’s on track to smash the record
for most made in a career, held by Ray Allen, with 2,973.
Don’t take it from us. This is what the President of the United States, Barack Obama, thinks: “Curry’s the best shooter I’ve ever seen. In terms of being able to get his shot off from anywhere that fast - the best I’ve ever seen.”
Kobe Bryant, who will re- tire at the end of the season as one of the all-time greats, hates playing against him. When asked earlier this week who was the toughest player to guard against, there was only one answer: “It has to be Steph Curry, has to be.”
Are people really comparing him to Jordan?
Well here’s Milwaukee Bucks coach Jason Kidd: “He’s this generation’s Jor- dan. We all wanted to be like Mike, and children today will grow up seeing Steph.”
America loves his fam- ily, too.

Curry admitted TV execu- tives were desperate to sign up daughter Riley - then aged just two - after she took over a post-game press conference last year.
Then last year along came a second super-cute daughter, Ryan. Together with child- hood sweetheart wife Ayesha - they met at church as teenagers - the image of the perfect family unit is being lapped up by fans on social media. Ayesha, 26, has more than 2.5m followers on Insta- gram.
Stephen Curry: Criticism ‘Starting To Get A Little Annoying’
Stephen Curry has had enough of former NBA stars taking shots at the Golden State Warriors as the team continues to close in on the NBA’s record for wins in a single season.
Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson told ESPN’s Mike & Mike on Thursday that Curry’s success is largely due to today’s style of play, which isn’t as physical as back in the day. Another Hall of Famer, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, concurs.
On top of that, retired stars Stephen Jackson (2006- 07 Warriors) and Cedric Ceballos (1993-94 Suns) both have said their former teams could have beaten this Warriors team, which holds the best record in NBA his- tory through 57 games (52-5) and remains one game ahead of the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’
pace in their record 72-10 season.
“It’s start-
ingtogeta
little annoy-
ing just be-
cause it’s
kind of un-
warranted
from across JABBAR the board,” Curry said on the “Warriors Plus/Minus” podcast by the Bay Area News Group on Friday. “We have a very competent group, and we have fun when we’re out there on the floor, and it shows, obviously.
“We enjoy what we do. But for the most part, you don’t hear us talking about, you know, comparing ourselves to other great teams and ‘We could beat this team, we’re better than this team.’ We’re living in the moment.”
