Game On! LeBron James Balls Out In Space Jam: A New Legacy; Opens Friday In Theaters

After initially passing 15 years ago, LeBron James is finally ready to take the Space Jam mantle from Michael Jordan in Space Jam: A New Legacy (out Friday, July 16 in theaters and on HBO Max). "It’s some- thing Mike created and is his,” James says of the beloved fran- chise. “I held that with a lot of responsibility.” Movie Theaters are hoping LeBron can bring moviegoers back to the theaters like "The Black Widow" and "Fast And Furious 9".
The Storyline
Basketball champion and global icon LeBron James and his youngest son Dom (Cedric Joe)—who dreams of being a video game developer rather than follow in his father's foot- steps—find themselves trapped in the Warner 3000 Server- Verse, a virtual space ruled by a tyrannical A.I. by the name of Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle).
The Villains
Warner Brothers decided to
animate existing superstars in both the NBA and WNBA as their 5-man lineup to take on LeBron James’s squad. The lineup of opposing villains in- cludes 3 NBA players and 2 WNBA players.

The Soundtrack
The "Space Jam: A New Legacy" soundtrack sees the OG film's soundtrack with Drake, Seal, Quad City DJ's, Busta Rhymes and Coolio and raises it Chance The Rapper, Lil Uzi Vert, Saweetie, John Legend, The Jonas Brothers and one Dame D.O.L.L.A., a.k.a Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard.
