friends and strangers. Michael ex- uded joy and his God-given gift was making other people laugh.
Some of his favorite things to do were watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, cooking, and bar-b- queing. Not only was Michael known as the “Bar-B-Que King” to his family, but he made the best pot of collard greens this side of Heaven!
Michael was preceded in death by: his parents, Mozell Evans Boone and Willie Boone, Jr.; sister, Katherine Boone; brothers, Alton and Leonard “Ricky” Boone, Sr.; and special sister-in-law, Vernita Boone.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 26 years, Millicent “Minnie” A. Boone; son, Michael Timothy Boone, Jr., (wife, Kiawana); daughter, Timellia Boone; step- son, Akhnaten Casey; grandchil- dren, Michael Timothy Boone, III, Fredrika Boone, Mikiese Boone, Mykejatt Boone, Sunay Boone, Myla Boone, Mikai Boone, Mes- siah Boone, and Cico Boone; sis- ter, Gloria Boone, of Tulsa, OK; brothers, Willie Boone, III, and Johnny Boone (wife, Charlene) all of Tampa; several special aunts and uncles from Boynton Beach, Florida and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lastly, Michael also leaves the children (and their parents) who used his crosswalk at the corner of Osborne and 15th Street and looked forward to seeing his smil- ing face each morning and after- noon, many times bringing him coffee on cold days and cool bev- erages on hot days to show their appreciation. He brought light and love to each of their days with his care and bright smile.
The remains will repose from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

MR. SAMUEL WALTER ANTHONY, SR.
Samuel Walter Anthony, Sr., of Tampa passed away on Sun- day, July 4, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church, 1006 W. Cypress Street, Tampa with Reverend Dr. Reginald R. Edwards, Sr., Senior Pastor of Greater Mount Pleasant M. B. Church, Callahan, Florida, offi- ciating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Tampa.
Mr. Anthony was born in Apalachicola, and attended the schools of Franklin County, Florida. Mr. Anthony was a member of the United States Army, World War, II, where he was honorably discharged. He later resided in Tallahassee, Florida, where he worked for Greyhound Bus Services for sev- eral years.
In the mid-1940s, he married Gladys Lee of Tallahassee. They were married for 10 years and they had two children, Samuel Walter Anthony, Jr., and Brenda Joyce Anthony. Mr. Anthony and his family moved to Tampa, Florida, where he has resided now for 69 years.
In 1956, Mr. Anthony was re- married to Juanita Griffin and they had two children, Carlos Anthony and Chloe Anthony.
Mr. Anthony was a member of New Salem M. B. Church, Tampa, where he served as an Usher and Trustee Board mem- ber. Later, he joined Beulah Bap- tist Institutional Church, Tampa, where he served as a member of the Usher Board.
Mr. Anthony became a Long- shoreman with the Tampa Inter- national Longshoreman Association which he loved very much. He was also the President of the Longshoreman Fellowship Hour for 21 years. He and his wife, Juanita, were honored at the Longshoreman Fellowship Hour Appreciation Program and Dinner in 2017 for their work with this organization.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Mathew Anthony and Lila Nicholson Anthony; his brothers, Elysses Jones, Robert Jones, Edward Jones, Isaiah An- thony, Ruben Anthony, James Wallace Anthony and Louis C. Anthony; sister, Lilly Ruth An- thony-Jackson; and his son, Samuel W. Anthony, Jr.
Mr. Anthony leaves to cherish his memories: a loving, caring and devoted wife of 65 years, Juanita Letitia Anthony; chil- dren, Dr. Bakhitah Brenda Abdul-Ra’uf, of Christiansburg, Virginia, Carlos L. Anthony (Sadiqa) of Long Beach, Califor- nia, and Chloe D. (Anthony) Oglesby (David) of Bethlehem, Georgia; loving grandchildren, Nwoye Bowens (Tameka), Samuel Anthony, III, Qaddafi Sabree, Aqueelah Sabir (Emanuel), Christopher Anthony (Malinda), Kiana Anthony, Katya Anthony and Katie Oglesby and Khandi Oglesby; great grandchil- dren, Brooke, Aalim, Haola, Chinua and Kayode, and a host of great nephews, nieces, loving cousins and friends.

MR. MICHAEL TIMOTHY BOONE, SR.
Mr. Michael Timothy Boone, Sr., of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. The Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa with Pastor Florence L. Howell, offici- ating.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Mr. Michael Timothy Boone, Sr., was born on February 2, 1957, to Mozell Evans Boone and Willie Boone, Jr. He resided in Tampa all of his life and was a faithful Crossing Guard with the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office.
He attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Robinson Senior High School. He served in the United States Army and had a passion for serving others.
Michael also worked for Manna Pro Corp, Tampa Park Apartments for 20+ years, and St. Croix Apartments.
Throughout his life, Michael was an exemplary son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Michael was a loving husband and father who made his wife and children his priority. He valued his relationship with Jesus Christ most which caused him to have a genuine love for his family,
MR. ALFONSO JONES
Mr. Alfonso Jones passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 17, at 2:00 p.m. at New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, 1605 N. Ne- braska Avenue, Tampa, with Reverend Prentiss Davis, offici- ating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Mr. Alfonso Jones was born on July 16, 1957, in Tampa, FL. He attended Plant High School, where he ran track and gradu- ated in 1975. He worked for the Tampa Housing Authority from 1978 until his retirement in man- agement with the company.
He was very kind and loving to everyone. He was a proud man and definitely a no non- sense type of guy. Mr. Jones was a master of everything including singing, carpentry and advising. Our dad was an awesome lis- tener and an even better teacher.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, mother, Nannie Mae Jones and father, Curtis Jones; uncles, Jessie, Dennis, Willie and Leroy Pittman; aunts, Chris- tine Davis and Dorothy Knighton.
He leaves to cherish his memories and mourn his pass- ing: his loving children, two daughters, Ebony S. Jones (Tor- rie) of Bartow, FL, and Bianca Jones, of Tampa, FL; three sons, Markeast Jones (Jessica), Patrick Jones (China) and Leo Peck, Sr., all of Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren, Markhiyah and Marquez Johnson, of Bartow, FL, Kiahra Davis, of Bartow, FL, Lilianna Stevens, Leo Peck, Jr., Leyona and Empress Peck, all of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Mar- vin and Wilbon Jones; one sis- ter, Sadie Mae Jones, all of Tampa, FL; one aunt, Mildred Johnson; one uncle, John Pittman; special nieces, Kuisha and Tyeisha “Fats;” nieces, Veronica, Felicite, Angelina (Demetrius) and Bonita; nephews, Cedric, Anthony and Donald; long-term devoted friends, Sheila Peck, Rudolph Smith and Phillip Forte and a host of other sorrowing cousins, family, friends and loved ones.
Closing Statements: “I want everyone in this life to know, I hope that I encouraged, helped, talked and saved someone. No matter how long you live, life is short so make the best of it. Be- cause when it is over, it is over.” Alfonso Jones.
