RAY WILLIAMS
MR. FREDDIE THOMAS
Mr. Freddie Thomas was a na- tive of Attapulgus, GA, and a resi- dent of Tampa for 40 years. He worked construction most of his
life and was employed as a main- tenance man at Brocato’s Sand- wich Shop.
“J.R.” enjoyed playing bas- ketball with his grandchildren and always looked forward to a night out dancing with his wife and playing pool. Mr. Thomas also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Erma Thomas; wife of 32 years, Deborah Harris; and grandson, Cornelius George Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: daughter, Lakisha N. Story- Carter; son-in-law, Tony Carter; son, Nigel Davis (Stephanie Amos) and grandchildren, Ray- mond Johnson, Chavontesha Johnson, Amilia Davis, Aria Davis and Kieran Davis

Lifelong Educator Passes After Brief Illness

MOLBERT SCRIVENS
A lifelong Hillsborough County educator passed away Wednesday morning after a brief illness. She was sur- rounded by her family, her daughter, Janelle Scrivens- Ferguson, and sister, LeJoan Franklin, said.
Mrs. Molbert Scrivens,
who was shy of her 75th birth- day, attended the public schools of Hillsborough County, graduated from Bethune-Cookman College. She taught Math in the Hills- borough County School Sys- tem for more than 30 years, ending her career at Tampa Bay Tech.
Mrs. Scrivens was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Bethune-Cookman Na- tional Alumni Assoc. (trea- surer), and an associate of Jack ‘N Jill of America.
Funeral arrangements are with Aikens Funeral Home are incomplete.
Other than her daughter and sister, Mrs. Scrivens is survived by her husband, Dr.
Your husband, Bruce; kids, Cheryl, Gregory, Antonio and Catherina Wiggins.
