On July 12, 2020, a young Tampa man died as a result of gunshot wounds. His case re- mains open and detectives continue to investigate the murder.
Once again police are hop- ing that someone in the com- munity can provide information that will lead them to the suspect responsi- ble for the fatal include. The victim was 28-year-old Dwayne Saddler.
His family has authorized police to release his name and photograph in hopes it will lead to the person responsible for the murder. They are ask- ing the community to help solve the crime.

Community Help Needed To Solve Fatal Shooting
Gunman Fatally Wounds Man Seated In Vehicle
The unidentified victim was killed while seated in a vehi- cle in the 3200 block of 49th Street last Wednesday.

Street and E. Lake Avenue, in reference to shots being fired. When the officers arrived shortly after midnight, they discovered that a large party was going on. They also learned that two people had been shot.
One of the victims, Sad- dler, was suffering from a
gunshot wound. Police admin- istered first aid, but were not successful. Saddler died at the scene.
Police also located the sec- ond gunshot victim near N. 22nd Street and E. 29th Avenue. The 34-year-old man was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Detectives do not believe the shooting was a random event. Although there was a large crowd present at the time, investigators have only been able to gather limited in- formation.

A 33-year-old man was killed last Wednesday while sitting in a vehicle. The shoot- ing took place in the Highland Pines area of town.
Tampa Police Depart- ment, officers responded to the location around 11 a.m., in reference to a shooting. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered the two injured people.
According to police, an adult man and an adult pas- senger were seated in the ve- hicle when the gunman approached the vehicle on foot. The unidentified man reportedly fired the weapon, striking the victim several times. The gunman then fled
the scene.
After being injured by
gunfire, the victim placed the vehicle in drive and drove a short distance before crash- ing into a group of parked cars. The passenger was in- jured in the crash and was transported to a nearby hos- pital with non-life threaten- ing injuries. The victim died as a result of his injuries, po- lice said.

Altercation Leaves Two Dead, Two Injured
Detectives are currently investigating an incident that has left two injured and two dead. The fatal shooting took place in Riverview Monday night.
As a result of the investi- gation, police believe the al- tercation that led to the shooting took place between people in a vehicle and others riding bicycles.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, around 10 p.m., Monday, deputies responded to Trib- ute Drive in reference to a shooting.
Once on scene, deputies located several individuals who had been injured as a re- sult of the shooting.
Among those injured were an adult man who had been shot in the upper body. He was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital South, where he was pronounced deceased.
An unidentified male ju- venile also suffered a gunshot to the upper body. He was transported to Tampa Gen- eral Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

A fourth person, a female juvenile, was injured in a car crash after the shooting. She suffered minor injuries and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital South.
Detectives believe the shooting occurred after an al- tercation between individuals in a car and a group riding bikes on Tribute Drive.
The driver of the vehicle, the adult male, and the two female passengers pulled up
to the juvenile male, who was on a bike.
At some point during the interaction shots were fired, causing the driver to go about 150 yards and crash the vehi- cle.
No arrests had been made at press time. No other infor- mation about the shooting has been released and the victims remain unidentified.
“We do not believe this was a random act. Neighbors do not need to be concerned for their safety. All those in- volved in this incident are ac- counted for,” Sheriff Chronister said.
