Accidents
   Man Killed Attempting To Cross Busy Intersection
 An unidentified man was struck by a vehicle as he at- tempted to cross the intersec- tion of E. Hillsborough Avenue and N. 15th Street. The accident took place Monday, shortly after 9 a.m.
According to Tampa Po- lice, officers arrived to find the man suffering from criti- cal injuries. He was trans- ported to a local hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with police. No charges have been filed in the case. The in-
vestigation is continuing.
         Woman Seriously Injured In Hit And Run Accident
A 38-year-old woman was seriously injured by a hit and run driver Christmas night. The accident took place at State Road 580 and Webb Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ms. Jennifer Ann Fermin, of Tampa, was walking northbound across State Road 580, outside the crosswalk and entered the path of the unknown driver. The driver collided with Ms. Fermin and fled the scene.
She was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she was admitted in critical condition.
Police believe the vehicle may have been an orange Hyundai sedan.

Teenager Fatally Injured In Single-Car Accident
A 19-year-old man died Monday night after being involved in a single car accident. The accident occurred shortly before 10 p.m., on I-275, north of Fowler Avenue.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Yury Raul Sar- ria, Jr., of Tampa, lost control of the 1995 Ford Mustang he was driving. After Sarria lost control of the vehicle, it collided with the barrier wall, overturned, and Sarria was ejected from the vehicle.
Sarria died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The inves- tigation is continuing.
One Dead, One Seriously Injured In Accident
The Florida Highway Patrol investigated an accident Christ- mas night that left one driver dead and another with serious in-
juries.
The accident occurred
shortly before 10 p.m., near the intersection of State Road 60 and Clarence Gordon, Jr., Road.
Ms. Meagan Thi Bay- tarian, 31, of Tampa, was driving a 2012 Toyota Yaris on State Road 60. She reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the center grass median. The vehicle entered the westbound lane where her vehicle struck a 2015 Dodge Journey, driven by Ms. Gussie L. Haughbrook, 76, also of Tampa.
Ms. Baytarian collided nearly head on with the Dodge. She died at the scene. Ms. Haughbrook was trans- ported to Tampa General Hos- pital, where she was admitted in serious condition. The in- vestigation is continuing.
