Six Arrested At The Florida State Fair
Police Fatally Shoot Man With Machete
  Six individuals were taken into custody at the Florida State Fair last Fri- day.
The names and charges of the individuals were not available.
Police said four individ- uals were arrested during the fair. After the fair- grounds closed, two others were arrested. A total of 30 people were ejected during Student Day.
A 48-year-old man was fatally shot by police on Sat- urday. The incident took place at 1805 N. Marvy Av- enue.
Police officers were sent to the home in reference to a man threatening someone with a machete. When police arrived, Sidney T. Richardson, IV, was lo- cated in a bedroom with his 17-year-old cousin.
The officers reportedly or- dered Richardson to put the machete down and he re- fused. The officers also de-
chete.
The officers, in fear of
their lives and the life of the teenager, opened fire on Richardson. Richardson died as a result of the in- juries.
The teenager was to in- jured.
The investigation into the shooting is continuing. In keeping with department pol- icy, both officers, who have not been identified, have been placed on administra- tive leave pending the out- come of the investigation.

FIRST BLACK HOCKEY PLAYER SPENDS TIME WITH KIDS AT BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
Willie O’Ree, the first Black to play in the National Hockey League (NHL), was in town two weeks ago for the NHL All- Star Weekend, which included the game that was in St. Pe- tersburg. While in the area, Mr. O’Ree spent time with the kids at the Wilbert Davis Boys and Girls Club, sharing infor- mation about his career. Canadian born, Mr. O’Ree played for the Boston Bruins.  Young Father To Be Laid To Rest In Hometown
 Correction: In last Fri- day’s edition of the Sen- tinel, Jinks was identified as Bernard Jinks. The Sentinel has since learned that his name was Barney and his date of birth was September 30, 1991.

Last Monday, February 5th, a 26-year-old father of four died after being shot sev- eral times. The body of Mr. Barney J. Jinks, Jr., will be returned to his hometown for his funeral.
His wife, Mrs. Do- minique Jinks said his fu- neral will be held on Saturday, in Blakely, Georgia. Mr. Jinks graduated from Early County High School in 2010.
He moved to Tampa three years ago to be close to his daughter and his father, Mr. Barney J. Jinks, Sr. Mrs. Jinks said she met her hus- band after he followed her to the gym one day. They were married April 15, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She said they had planned to spend their anniversary out of town. However, they were planning a big celebration for their anniversary in 2019.
He was the father of four children, 2 stepchildren and 2 biological children. His youngest child is 10-weeks- old. He is also survived by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
BARNEY J. JINKS, JR. 9/30/1991 — 2/5/2018
 After deciding that he wanted to become a truck driver, Mr. Jinks attended training and graduated as a truck driver from a school in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has been a truck driver for the past 7 years.
“My husband was a hard working man. He just wanted
to live life. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, spending time with his family, and visiting Blakely, Georgia,” she said.
