Gerald McCoy Trade To Raiders Offered Up As
A Possibility
GERALD MCCOY
Tampa Bay Bucs defensive tackle Gerald McCoy has been named as a potential trade candidate for Tampa Bay to ship to Oakland.
In the report, a source suggests there are trades he’s heard rumblings on through NFL executive channels — one of which trades Tampa Bay’s All-Pro defensive tackle for the Raiders’ second round pick.
Defensive tackle is a big question mark for the Raiders. McCoy, who turned 30 last month, remains a front-line player at the posi- tion. He is signed through 2020, with base salaries be- tween $10 million and $13 million, and only $500,000 of proration remaining, all in 2018.
Tampa Bay could use its early picks to revamp its de- fensive line, with an emphasis on outside rushers. There was some question among execs whether McCoy would com- mand a second-round pick at age 30 and whether the Buc- caneers could comfortably part with him.
Buffalo could be another logical destination for McCoy. Tampa Bay could conceivably ask for defensive end Jerry Hughes as part of its return for McCoy. Hughes is scheduled to earn $7.35 million in salary and bonuses for each of the next two seasons. Sending receiver DeSean Jackson to Kansas City for Dee Ford was an- other suggested trade to help the Bucs’ pass rush, despite doubts over whether the Chiefs would be interested in Jackson at this stage.

Draft Prospects
On Tuesday, in a post for the Players' Tribune, Cava- liers big man, Kevin Love revealed he was one of those people who suffered from panic attacks.
Love wrote about how Toronto Raptor star, DeMar DeRozan inspired him to speak out about his own mental health.
Back in November, Love experienced a panic attack during a game against the Hawks, and as a result, the attack led him to the hospital. He wasn't sure how to re-
spond, so he turned to a ther- apist.
What DeRozan did was something not many athletes have been willing to do in the past -- open up about mental health issues.
For DeRozan, it was a chance to tell people that they're not the only people going through these kind of problems.
According to Love, he might not have never come forward and address his hur- dles to the public if it were not for DeRozan.
