Stylist Offers Sophisticated Hair Care To Community
Driver Charged In Crash That Leaves Teenager Dead
A 19-year-old man was arrested after a traffic acci- dent last Wednesday morn- ing. He is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail without bond.
According to the Tampa Police Department, An- thony Martel McGhee was driving a 2003 Infiniti Coupe northbound on N. 40th Street at a high rate of speed. McGhee is alleged to have run the traffic light at E. Hillsborough Avenue, and struck a 2005 Dodge Durango that was traveling eastbound.
Johnathan Grubbs,
16, was reportedly the front seat passenger in the In- finiti. Grubbs received life- threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He died as a result of those injuries sustained in the accident Friday.
The driver of the Du- rango, who has not been identified by police, was in- jured and transported to a local hospital.

names of any others who may have been passengers in either vehicle.
Both vehicles were dis- abled as a result of the crash. Police said after the accident, McGhee imme- diately jumped out of the Infiniti and fled the scene on foot. He was appre- hended by a patrol officer investigating the accident.
McGhee was charged with violation of probation for carrying a concealed weapon. He was also charged with grand theft,

retail theft, operating an unregistered vehicle, at- taching a tag not assigned to the vehicle, leaving the scene of a crash with prop- erty damage, driving with- out a valid license involving a death, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and reckless driving that resulted in serious in- jury.
Police said charges against McGhee will be upgraded since Grubbs has died. The investigation is continuing.

95-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed In Accident
A 95-year-old man died after being struck by a car Sunday evening. The accident took place in Wesley Chapel.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Justo Delgado, of Wesley Chapel, was attempting to cross State Road 54 at the intersection of Wiregrass Ranch Blvd., shortly before 7:30 p.m.
Delgado was traveling on a mobile scooter in the cross- walk. However, the pedestrian signal was red at the time. Arden Ford, 78, also of Wesley Chapel, was traveling in the inside lane on State Road 54, when his 2007 Cadillac Escalade struck the mobile scooter.
Delgado sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Ford, nor his passenger, Ms. Gloria Garcia, of Wesley Chapel, were not injured in the accident.
No charges are expected to be filed in connection with the case, police said.
