Military
Two Air Force Enlistees Complete Basic Training
Two members of the U. S. Air Force recently com- pleted basic military train- ing. Airman Daniel M. Eagan and Airman An- thony F. Estrada partici- pated in their respective graduation ceremonies at the Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland, in San Antonio, Texas.
Airmen Eagan and Estrada completed an in-
tensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and stud- ies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
They also earned four credits toward an Associate in Applied Science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Airman Eagan earned distinction as an honor
graduate. He is the son of Mark and Krystal Eagan and grandson of Yolanda S. Haver, all of Tampa.
Airman Eagan gradu- ated from Plant High School in 2012.
Airman Estrada is the son of Anthony and Rosa P. Estrada, and brother of Janna M. Cantero, all of Tampa. He graduated from Sickles High School, in 2016.
Tampa Native Deployed For Training Program
Recently, Army Reserve
Cadet Madison Maddox
was deployed to participate in the Cadet Language and Cultural Immersion Training Program. This marked the soldier’s first time partici- pating in training deploy- ment.
A student at the Univer- sity of Oklahoma, Cadet Maddox is a member of the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.
The program requires participating cadets to com- plete a week-long training session at Fort Knox, KY. After completing the training session, they are deployed to partner nations where they are immersed in the local cultures and languages.
The deployed cadets spend three weeks involved in assisting with current Army missions that range

Cadet Maddox is the
daughter of Bobby Mad- dox, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and granddaughter of Bobby Maddox, of Tampa. She graduated from Bishop Kelley High School, in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2013.
