The follow-up to 2013’s ‘Love in the Future’ features 12 songs and may be Legend’s most personal body of work as it tackles love, family, social injustice and more. Kelly Rowland expanding her brand.
Kelly Rowland is adding author to her lengthy resume. The multi-talented R&B artist, actress, and executive pro- ducer will release her first book ‘Whoa, Baby!,’ on March 28th.
In Whoa, Baby!, Rowland and her OB-GYN Dr. Bick- man team up to cover every- thing a first-time mom needs to know: the gross physical stuff, the hormonal and emo- tional stuff, and the just plain weird stuff.
So it’s going to be a Wopto- ber wedding.
Gucci Mane and his fi- ancée Keyshia Ka’oir will tie the knot on October 17, 2017 — a date near and dear to Gucci’s heart. Gucci con- firmed the details on Twitter, tagging his future wife, who responded with a heart and bride emoji.
The number 1017 has been a recurring theme throughout Guwop’s career, appearing in his social media handles and as the inspiration for his 1017 Brick Squad Records
label.
The number comes from
his grandfather’s address in Bessemer, Alabama. “1017 my granddaddy house,” he rapped on “Decapitated” from 2013’s Diary Of A Trap God.
The couple set off some speculation that they’d al- ready exchanged vows a few days ago with an Instagram post of Gucci wearing a dia- mond ring on his left ring fin- ger with a reference to his “wife” in the caption.
Prince Harry is greeted by Rihanna. The pair sat on stage later during a celebration concert.
Documentary Now Streaming About Disney’s First Black Animator, Floyd Norman
Prince Harry and Ri- hanna basically spent an en- tire evening together celebrating RiRi’s home is- land of Barbados during its 50 years of independence from England celebration.
Harry was on the last leg of a two-week tour of the Caribbean, and spent three
days in Barbados.
The pair initially met
Wednesday afternoon, which, according to the BBC, was a surprise to Harry. He thought they would meet at a celebratory concert that evening. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons our favorite prince looked so starstruck?
Prince Still Being
Celebrated Through Shows
Floyd Norman was the first Black animator at Disney. Some of his work includes 101 Dalmatians, The Sword In The Stone and Toy Story 2.
And Also A Documentary
The story of Disney’s first black animator is now streaming on Netflix. Floyd Norman: An Animated Life details the career of Floyd Norman, a now 81-year-old writer animator and comic book artist, whose work with Disney dates back to the 1950s when he was hired for Sleeping Beauty.
In the late 1950s, Norman worked as an inbetweener (which is essentially creating intermediate drawings for an animated story) with Disney before being drafted to the Armed Forces. Following his service, Norman returned to Disney to work on 101 Dal- matians in 1960, and The Sword In The Stone in 1963.
After seeing some of the drawings that he did to enter- tain co-workers, Walt Dis- ney moved the then budding animator to the story depart-
ment to rewrite The Jungle Book.
Following Walt Disney’s death in 1966, Norman along with friend and busi- ness partner, Leo Sullivan, launched Vignette Films, a production company which released various film projects focusing on Black history. The duo would go on to pro- duce segments for Sesame Street, and Bill Cosby’s Hey, Hey, Hey Fat Albert tel- evision special which aired on NBC in 1969.
Norman returned to Dis- ney in the 1970s where he worked on projects like Robin Hood. At age 65, Disney fired Norman. His creative career with Walt Disney Studios, and Pixar also includes ani- mated classics such as Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc., Mulan, and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame.
