CARLTON L. COARD
Mr. Carlton L. Coard passed in Tampa, Florida, on December 26, 2021. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Janu- ary 4, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida from 4 – 7 p. m.
Mr. Carlton L. Coard was born on December 7, 1959 in Tampa, Florida to Helen E. Coard. Mr. Coard was educated in the public schools of Hills- borough County. He was em- ployed with Singleton Seafood and Sol Walker Scrap Metal Company prior to his passing.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Helen Elizabeth Coard; grandparents, Lawrence Coard, Sr. and Maggie Coard.
Mr. Carlton Coard leaves behind: sisters, Marnita Coard and Sharon Kelly and husband, Nathan; nephews, Frederick Coard and Anthony Waters; nieces, Dekaisha Chisom (Eli), Kinyada Taylor (Jessica), Jes- sica Coard, Darryl Coard Wingo; great nieces and nephews, Daysia, Moses, Fred- erick, Jr., Janiya Melvin and other relatives and friends.

were many completed training certifications, included are Cer- tificates in welding, mainte- nance mechanics and driving. He was a M64 Charlie operator and was promoted from Ser- geant in February 9, 1987 to Staff Sergeant on September1, 1999, then on to Sergeant 1st Class on March 1, 1999.
“Bernard”, was also hailed as a Sharpshooter and served on the Military Police Force. After retirement “Bernard” settled in Phoenix City, Alabama. He was able to devote time to his archery, car restoration, being a trivialist, and holding his place as a sharpshooter. Bernard loved his children, grandchil- dren where he was lovingly called “Big Daddy” not PopPop, and his family was very dear to him.
Bernard did not miss a grad- uation and was proud to walk his daughter, Tawanda down the aisle in her wedding.
Mark Bernard Sanders was called to active-duty to our heav- enly Father on December 14, 2021 after a lengthy struggle with his illness. “Bernard” be- lieved in God, and through all of the struggles, he held on to scripture from his favorite book of the Bible, Job: “If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.”
Bernard leaves to cherish his memory: the treasures of his life, his children, Markisha, Tawanda (Isavior), Antonio, Marisha, and Ashley; thirteen grandchildren, Nia, Jeremiah, Elijah, Lakki, Leianna, Lyric, An- tonio, Jr., Gabriel, Navaya, Annabella, Avery, Ada, and Nevae; brothers and sisters, Greg Sanders, Bruce Floyd, Sonya Floyd, Carra Long, Debra Burton (Darrell), Jaquita Howard, Mark “Pap” Sanders, Anthony Floyd, along with a host of uncles, a special aunt, Evelyn Gatlin, nieces, nephews, a de- voted cousin, Vallerie Green, and loving relatives and friends.

MS. MARGARET SMART
A Celebration of Life for Mar- garet Smart will be held on Sun- day, January 2, 2022 at 11 a. m. at Brandon Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1221 Victor Street, Bran- don, Florida 33511, with visita- tion starting at 10 a. m. Interment will follow at Limona Cemetery in Brandon, FL.
Margaret Adina Smart was born on July 17, 1947, in St. Michaels Barbados, to the late Ronald Whitroy Smart, and Gladys Verona Smart. Margaret migrated to Guyana, South America at the age of four, where she attended the Seventh-Day Adventist School in Cream Street Georgetown, Guyana. Later she went to St. Stephen’s High School.
Margaret met and married the late Carlton Jones with whom she had three children. Margaret attended Mariah Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Georgetown, Guyana.
In 1990, she moved to the United States where she joined her family. There she attended Solid Rock Seventh-Day Adven- tist Church in Far Rockway, New York.
In 2014, she relocated to Riverview, Florida, and she was an active member to the Riverview Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was a counselor for the Pathfinder Ministry, a Dea- coness, a member of the Women Group Ministry, and a volunteer at Progress Village Seventh-Day Adventist on Wednesday with Feeding of America. She was a devoted Christian who aimed to follow her savior all the way. She
always stated that she wanted to see her father again because he was a man of God and a devoted Seventh-Day Adventist. Mar- garet loved and enjoyed many things: being in the house of the Lord, a sharp dresser, loved cooking (she made the best pot bakes and string beans), garden- ing, traveling, and loved people.
She was passionate about winning souls for Christ. Mom loved going to the store with me (Simone); she is always shopping with “No money.” And always promising, “I will pay you back.” Today, I wish we could have taken one more shopping trip.
My mother was a bright shin- ing soul, and she departed from this life quietly on December 19, 2021.
Mom preceded in death by: Ronald and Gladys Smart, her parents, her brother, Alfred Smart, and her three children: Eusan Smart, Orlinda Jones, and Clayton Jones.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Simone O. Smart, and Carllotta V. Jones; sisters, Vesta O. Hopkinson, and her twin Mariam H. Smart; her grandchildren: Denzel, Dornel and Donnila Jones; nieces and nephews: Shantel Smith of Guyana, Ronald Smart, Desiree Hopkinson, Sueann Smart, Shaundell McCloud, Kwame Smart, Lionel Blake, Darrel, Robin and Dominique Hopkin- son, all of New York; great aunt, Osafo Smart, Leyland Smart, Stacy and Sean Davis, Randi Smart, Kwame Smart, Jr., Mar- cus Smart, Shamane Smart, Geo- vanni Hopkinson, Kimani Smart, Lionel, Kandasammy, Leandra, Ayden, Jayden Blake, Tyrece Smart, Prince Smart, Alexandra Hopkinson, Sacha and Mya Davis, Tyler and Tahj Smart, Mya Hopkinson and four others; cousin to the Layne Family in Barbabos; aunt in-Law: Rudolph Thomas, Sandy, Shaundell, and Latoya, Smart; great friend of Maud Green, Juliet Peroune, Mil- licent Chandler, Merissa Per- oune-Lite and family, Abeola Bramble and family, LaSean and family, and a host of others; and her church family Mariah, Solid Rock and Riverview Seventh-Day Adventist.

MR. MARK BERNARD SANDERS
A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Mark Bernard Sanders will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida on Monday Jan- uary 3, 2022, at 2 p. m. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army Honor Guards.
God touched the hearts of Mark Sanders and Altamese Sanders and from this love came forth a son, Mark Bernard Sanders, born September 11, 1960, in Wimauma, Florida.
Mark Bernard Sanders, af- fectionally called “Bernard,” was a graduate of Plant City High School, and was mechani- cally fascinated as he also at- tended Big Ben Community College in Moses Lake, New York.
Before “Bernard” embarked on his lifetime career, he mar- ried his high school sweetheart, Debra Elaine Robinson and to this union were born four chil- dren, Mark (preceded in death), Markisha, Tawanda, and Anto- nio. Later he fathered two more children, Ashley and Marisha. Being a man of responsibility, he joined the armed forces in order to provide for his family.
“Bernard” enlisted in the United State Army in 1981, where he served for 20 years, re- tiring December 31, 2001. Dur- ing his service to our country, he achieved many certificates and Honors, which included the Meritorious Service Medal, pre- sented to members of the United States Armed Forces for out- standing meritorious achieve- ment to the United States, the Good Conduct Medal for carry- ing out three consecutive years of “honorable and faithful serv- ice.” Among his certificates,
