Accident
Man Dies After
Being Struck
By Two Hit And
Run Drivers
The St. Petersburg Police De- partment is investigating a fatal traffic accident that took place Christmas Day. The accident took place around 7:10 p. m., on 18th Avenue, South.
According to police, the unidentified 56-year-old man was walking along the north sidewalk of 18th Avenue S. He reportedly stepped off the curb to cross the street in the 1900 block.
At that point, a blue Kia Sedan and an unknown make gray sedan were traveling west- bound on 18th Avenue, South.
The man was first struck by the Kia, and moments later, the gray sedan struck him while he was still lying in the roadway.
The drivers of both vehicles fled after hitting the man. He died at the scene.
