Maurice, Cornisha, J. W., Laneshia, Lee, Yaminha and Michelle; numerous great grand- children; sister, Sarah Gadson Norwood; brother, John (Sid- ney) Gadson; sisters and broth- ers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sor- rowing relatives and devoted friends too numerous to name.
Mr. Edward Joseph Gadson, affectionately known as “Shorty” was born March 10, 1930 in Georgetown, SC, to the parentage of the late Ed and Estelle Gadson. Shorty was educated in the pub- lic schools of Georgetown County where he attended Howard High School.
Shorty met and later married Jessie Mae Britton on October 29, 1949 who became the love of his life for 68 years. They relo- cated with their family to Tampa Florida eventually making their home in the Progress Village Community, where they resided for over 50 years.
Shorty was a roofer by trade and was employed with Cement Roofing Company for many years. He later ventured into en- trepreneurship when he started his own roofing company known as Shorty’s Roofing. Through this venture Shorty became known to many as “Shorty the Roofer.” He was the local roofer for many in the Progress Village community and the City of Tampa at large. He trained his sons and many other young men as apprentice roofers.
`Shorty had accepted Christ and his Christian experience was of the Baptist faith.
There will be a viewing on Friday July 20, 2018 from 5 – 8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p. m.
Friends are asked to assem- ble at the church on Saturday at approximately 10:45 a. m. for the service.

Mr. Nathaniel Waters, Sr. of Lakeland, Florida, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted Satur- day,July21at2p.m.atRay Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Pastor Eric Teasley, officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Waters was a native of Arcadia, Florida and a resident of the Tampa Bay Area for many years prior to relocating to Lake- land, Florida. He was a member of Miracle Deliverance Church and retired as a Custodian from the School District of Hillsbor- ough County.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Shelly Waters and Marie Murrell; and devoted wife, Roberta Waters.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving children, three sons, Nathaniel Waters, Jr., Jeremiah Waters, and Carlos Waters; one daughter, Tammie Mickens (Joseph); step-chil- dren, Mischelle Cusseaux, Ecinda Brown, Jamison Bell, Velecia Wilder, Clifford Mandy and Doris Andrews; a host of loving grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; devoted friend, William Thomas.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, July 20 at Ray Williams Funeral Home.

MR. BERNARD JOHNNIE BLACK, SR.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Bernard Johnnie Black, Sr. will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 12 noon at New Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3325 E. Emma Street, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. Ronnie Murray, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bernard Johnnie Black, Sr. was born on October 20, 1946 to the late Clifford Black and Bloneva Dorsett Black. Bernard was a native of Tampa, Florida, where he attended the public schools of Hillsborough County. Bernard was employed by the Kaiser Corporation for 17 years and retired from the Interna- tional Longshoremen’s Associa- tion, Locals 1402 and 1759 after 31 years, in September 2014. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Life’s journey ended on July 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy Black; brothers, Christopher Robinson, Clifton G. Black, Joseph Black and Machel Mc- Donald.
Left to cherish memories of him are: 2 sons, Bernard J. Black, Jr. (Saleah) and Clifford Black (Jackie); 2 daughters, Sabrina Deanand and Twanda Sapp (Jimmy); 9 grandchildren, Shantel Dean, James Lang (Alexis), Shanquila Fuller (Harvell), Kierstin Howard (Eric), Shannon Dean, Shaylah Dean, Raijahna Carter, Terrell Black and Donte Black; 12 great- grandchildren, Amaya, Ivory, Layla, Emir, Brayden, Kaylee, Azarii, Jerrell, Javon, Jerod, Kaylin and Kyrie; 1 brother, Ronald E. Black (Gladys); 1 sis- ter, Retha Wilson (Albert); cousin, Mrs. Doris Benjamin (Ft, Pierce, FL); stepchildren, Angelica Williams and Oren Denson (Timee); sisters-in-law, Carolyn Sullivan, Velma Doyle and Gloria McNutt; brothers-in- law, Robert Sanders and Willie Burney; a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends.

Wallace Bowers, Presiding and Elder Joseph Gad- son of Community Tabernacle COGIC, Miami, Florida, Eulogist.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Ms. Virginia Lee Williams passed on July 10, 2018 at the Melech Hospice House.
There will be a viewing on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, from 5-8 p. m., with the family present to receive friends from 5-6 p. m. in the chapel.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Lloyd and Odell Harris.
Ms. Williams leaves to cher- ish precious memories with: her children, LaVanda Williams (LaVerne Williams), Cordelia Bryan, Diane Williams, Sandria Mosley, Michael Mosley, Char- lene Mosley, Gail Blue, Reginald Mosley, Alicia Goldsmith, Theresa Goldsmith and Michelle Williams; grandchildren, 50 plus; great grandchildren, 60 plus; sister, Joyce Harris; a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
Ms. Virginia Lee Williams was born March 22, 1940, in Leesburg, Florida to the parent- age of Lloyd and Odell Harris. She was a former employee of Singleton Seafood prior to her retirement.
