Floyd Mayweather: I’ll Earn 7 Figures A Month For The Rest Of My Life
FLOYD MAYWEATHER Floyd Mayweather is a
great boxer, a brilliant busi- nessman, and a true connois- seur of life’s finer things. Just ask him, and he’ll tell you all about it. That’s exactly what celebrity gossip website re- porters did on Easter Sunday.
And the responses he gave were pure Floyd.
The boxing icon was appar- ently wearing his $2-million watch and cruising around Los Angeles with a caravan of four high-priced cars, including the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, which he says cost him almost $5 million. This, after sitting courtside for the Lakers game.
“I keep about four or five toys in L.A. I got a high-rise in L.A. And I got a mansion in L.A.,” a “blessed way beyond belief,” Mayweather said.
“I’m loving the retired life,” he explained. “Still making seven figures a month for the rest of my life. Smart invest- ments. I’ve made some smart moves. It’s not really bragging if you got it.”

Newton’s Colorful Pants On Men Everywhere This Spring
Rapper Lil Wayne has signed former Florida State linebacker Reggie Northrup to be the first NFL prospect the rapper’s Young Money Sports will market.
Lil Wayne posted an In- stagram picture with Northrup before Florida State’s pro day Tuesday, and Northrup told the Tallahas-
see Demo- crat that Young Money Sports will handle his marketing and brand- ing. Rep 1 Sports is

pants will be making a state- ment this Spring.
Barring socks and under- wear, pants have long been the most mundane topic in men’s fashion.
Not anymore.
This year, trousers are trending — and we’re not talking about flat-front Dock- ers.
Enter Cam Newton. In January, the NFL star be- came Internet catnip when he stepped out in a notably not- so-average pair of Versace zebra-print pants.
“Insane,” Mark Anthony Green, GQ’s Style Guy, told espn.com. “That’s the gaudi- est pair of pants that Cam has ever worn. I think he chose to wear them when all

eyes were on him. That’s re- ally important.”
Were they too much? Maybe. But the conservative, suit-centric world of profes- sional sports could use some envelope pushing. And be- sides, if clothes communicate ideas about who we are, there’s no better fit for a cocky quarterback than an $849 pair of baroque-print Versace skinnies.
Newton’s viral moment came just days after Kanye West, in an epic Twitter feud with rapper Wiz Khalifa, brought loads of attention to his fellow rapper’s choice of exceptional lower-body gar- ments.
Jazz Hand Kobe Worst Career Loss, Match Largest Franchise Win
flashy
The Utah Jazz beat the Los Angeles Lakers by 48 points on Monday night by a score of 123-75. It is the worst loss ever suffered by Kobe Bryant during his career, with the previous worst being a 36- point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier this sea- son.
Kobe did not help the cause. He finished 1-of-11 from the field, a 9.1 field goal percentage. It is his third- worst field goal percentage in a single game over his career (minimum of five attempts).
The 48 points is tied for the largest loss in Lakers franchise history. The Lakers lost by 48 to the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2013-14 season during a

What’s The Cause Of
Serena Williams’ Recent
Woes On The WTA Tour?
Serena Williams re- mains without a title in 2016. She’s played in only three tournaments this season and has left each without the win- ning trophy.
An 11-3 record and second on the season’s point leader- board would be a stellar start for anyone else, except Williams. Her latest loss has many wondering what’s going on.
After losing the first set in a tiebreaker, Svetlana Kuznetsova came back to defeat Williams 6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-2 in the fourth round of the Miami Open. It was Williams’ first loss at Key Biscayne since 2012. A win- ner at the Miami Open in 2006, Kuznetsova moved into the quarterfinals for the first time since 2009.
In her post-match press conference, Williams told reporters, per the Associated Press (via ESPN.com), “I can’t win every match. These players come out and play me like they’ve never played be- fore in their lives. I have to be 300 percent every day.”
Indeed, when players de-

feat Williams, it’s perceived as a monumental achieve- ment. Kuznetsova told Nina Pantic of Tennis.com, “I have so many people saying congratulations, I feel like I won the title already.”
A two-time Grand Slam champion, Kuznetsova played a magnificent match, throwing in stealth drop shots as well as hitting winners while patrolling the baseline. Still, the focus is on Williams and her un-cham- pion-like 55 unforced errors and nine double faults.
Williams loses so rarely that no matter how well her opponent plays, the questions are more about her perform- ance.
margin of victory at 48 points. The previous 48-point win came against the Milwaukee Bucks during the 1989-90 campaign.
Utah was supported by a strange but efficient perform- ance from guard Rodney Hood. Hood put up the third 30-plus point first half in the NBA this season, shooting 11- of-13 and 8-of-9 from beyond the arc.
