Business Professionals Host Obamacare Seminars
Two Black business pro- fessionals have joined forces to host a series of seminars on the Obamacare health plan enrollment.
Open enrollment to ac- quire coverage for 2016 will end January 31st. Those per- sons wanting a January 1 ef- fective date of coverage must have completed their enroll- ment by December 15th.
The confusion that sur- rounds the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, prompted Ken Anthony and Lenzo Canty to con- sider developing a seminar format as a means to assist the community as they navi- gate the enrollment process.
Ken Anthony of Affinity Insurance Agency and Lenzo Canty of Canty and Associates CPA, Inc. are both Tampa natives. Lenzo Canty is a graduate of Hills- borough High School and Ken Anthony is a graduate of Middleton High School. Together, they possess a combined 60 years of experi- ence in their respective fields.
Topics to be discussed
KEN ANTHONY
will address:
The Affordable Care Act (an explanation)
How to qualify for a premium subsidy
How to compare health plans
How to maximize your insurance coverage How to avoid the tax
penalty
Seminars are held on Thursday evenings, Decem- ber 10th and 17th. The sessions will begin at 6:30 p. m. at the office of Canty and Associ- ates CPA, Inc., 2912 East Annie Street.

Downtown Streets To Be Converted To Two-Way Traffic
Construction is under way on the Cass Street and Tyler Street Two-way Improve- ments Project in downtown Tampa. At its completion, both Cass Street and Tyler Street from the Hillsborough River to Nebraska Avenue will become two-way streets.
On December 11, 2015, the first segment of the two- way project will be imple- mented. Cass Street and Tyler Street between the Hillsborough River and Ash- ley Drive will become two- way streets. Motorists traveling Ashley Drive will be able to turn west on Cass Street and drive over the Cass Street bridge.
Motorists will continue to be able to use Tyler Street westbound to access the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, the Times Building, and the Barrymore Hotel.
Part of the downtown cycle path (also called the “green spine”) will be com- pleted in this area; however, it will not be open for use until the entire green spine is completed in 2016.
