Copeland Park Saints Need Help With Traveling Funds For Next Competition
The 13U Copeland Park Saints advance to the AYF National Championship bracket in Orlando/Kissimmee, December 7-12, 2015.
The Unity Copeland Park Saints 13 and Up All American Team won the AYF South East Re- gional Tournament Championship on November 14, 2015 in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The team defeated the Ocoee Wekiva Cardinals, 27-0, advancing to the AYF National Championship bracket in Orlando/Kissimmee, December 7-12, 2015.
The 14U Dance/Step Team will also be advancing to the national bracket to be held in Lake- land, FL on December 13th.
These 2 teams are in need of funding for travel to advance to the next level. Anyone willing to support this effort can go to www.tampaunityfootball.com to make a donation, or contact Orlando Gudes at (813) 842-0157.
The 14U Step/Dance Team also advanced to the national compe- tition. They will be traveling to Lakeland, FL December 13th.
Trees For Troops To Bring Holiday Spirit To
MacDill Air Force Base
MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE --- This holiday season, FedEx Freight will deliver fresh Christmas trees to MacDill Air Force Base families. The event will begin on Thursday, Decem- ber 10th starting at 11 a.m. for active duty service members and their families.
At 1 p. m., remaining trees will be offered to other base em- ployees and retirees.
Celebrating its eleventh year, Trees for Troops is a program sponsored by the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and FedEx Corp.
The Trees for Troops program was launched in 2005; dur- ing its inaugural year, the program delivered more than 4,300 Christmas trees to five U. S. military bases, as well as an over- seas shipment to the Middle East.
Since the launch, more than 157,000 real Christmas trees were given to service members and their families --- covering every branch of the military at more than 65 bases in 17 coun- tries.
