MRS. SHIRLEY ANN STURDIVANT
A Celebration of Life and Tribute of Love Service will be held for Mrs. Shirley Ann Stur- divant on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 10 a. m. at First Bap- tist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Village Blvd., Tampa, Florida, with Senior Teaching Pastor, Dr. Sam Maxwell, officiating.
Shirley peacefully an- swered the call of her loving Savior as she departed this earthly life on Sunday, Novem- ber 26, 2017. She is now resting at peace in the bosom of Jesus; free of all sickness, pain and sorrows.
Shirley leaves to cherish precious memories with: her beloved children, son, William Sturdivant; daughter, Candace Williams; granddaughter, Tiana Williams; mother, Ruby Walker-Bodden; brother, Charles Jenkins; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; sisters-in-law, Mable Patterson, Brenda Stur- divant, and Janet Caston of Tal- lahassee, FL; brother- in-law, Jarvis Sturdivant of Tallahas- see, FL; a host of other sorrow- ing relatives and friends.
Shirley Ann Sturdivant was born March 15, 1952 in High- point, North Carolina to the parentage of Charles Edward Walker (deceased) and Ruby Walker. Shirley was educated in the Passaic County School District and graduated from Eastside High School, Patter- son, New Jersey. She also at- tended Business School in Newark, New Jersey. Her pro- fessional career was in the medical field.
Shirley accepted Christ while stationed in Italy. In 1994 she relocated to Florida, mak- ing Riverview, Florida her home. She became a member of The First Baptist Church of Progress Village under the pas- torate of Dr. Sam Maxwell.
Shirley quickly found her place in ministry fulfilling her S.H.A.P.E. and desire to serve others; she eventually became the ministry leader for the Con- gregational Care Ministry where she enjoyed caring for the sick and bereaved by send- ing cards, making phone calls, running errands and home and hospital visits. Shirley did this until her health began to fail and she could no longer be an active part of the ministry and fellowship. There will be a viewing on Saturday, Decem- ber 9, 2017 from 9–10 a. m. (1 hour prior to the service) at First Baptist Church of Progress Village.

MR. TOMMIE ‘RAT’ VIVERETTE, JR.
Mr. Tommie “Rat” Viverette, Jr., who on Saturday, December 2, 2017, his life came to an ultimate end while receiving care at Alpine Health and Rehab Center in St. Pe- tersburg, Florida.
Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Tommie “Rat” Viverette, Jr. will be held on Saturday, Decem- ber9,2017at2p.m.atWilsonFu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. W. D. Sims, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Tommie “Rat” Viverette, Jr. was born on September 7, 1952 in Philadelphia, Mississippi to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Lee (Cassie Nash) Viverette. Tommie was a resident of Tampa, Florida.
Mr. Viverette was preceded in death by: his father, Tommie Lee Viverette; mother, Cassie Viverette; grandfather, J. C Nash; aunts, Ida George, Annie Nash, Jennie Ruth and Annie Mae; un- cles, T. H. Viverette, Marvin Nash, Clinton Nash and John Henry; sis- ter, Ella Viverette-Bagwell; broth- ers, Dexter Viverette, Joe Viverette and James “Shine” Viverette.
He is survived by: daughters, Velena Viverette Brooks (Fred), Ebony Viverette, Tamika
Viverette; sons, Tommie Viverette, III, Demetrius Viverette; grandchildren, Jalen Brooks, Jordan Brooks; Briana Hudson, Brian Hudson, Demetrius Smith, Katelynn Wright, Tristan Viverette; broth- ers, Sammie “J. C.” Viverette (Cardelia); Danny Viverette, Jessie “Ball” Viverette, Antonio Viverette; sisters, Cassie Mae Viverette, Barbara Viverette, Linda Viverette, Mary Viverette, Brenda Viverette; uncles, Edward Viverette (Betty) and Ether Jay Viverette (Tressie); a host of nephews and nieces; sister-i- law, Brenda Youngblood Viverette; mothers of his children, Wanda Wooden, Betty Viverette Walker, Patricia Kindel, and Laqretia Haughbrook; and other relatives, friends and the Highland Pines Community.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, December 9, 2017 from 5 – 8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida.

MRS. MARY JEAN WATERS

Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by: her mother, Anna C. Jones; father, Henry C. Jones; husband, Cleven J. A. Waters; brothers and sisters, Ernestine Jones, Henry Jones, Jr., Teretha Jones, Costella Lowrey, Canty Jones, Adam Jones; children, Steven Waters and Roderick Waters; brother-in-law, Sonny Washington.
She leaves to cherish memo- ries of her with: children, Au- drey Smith, Terry Waters (Regina); grandchildren, Ebony Waters, Steven Waters, Jr., Maurice Waters, Johnathan Wa- ters, Alisha Smith, Anna Smith, Xavier Smith and Janae Waters; and a host of great grandchil- dren; siblings, Rosetta Howell (Gilbert) and Lula Washington; nieces, nephews and other rela- tives and friends.
Mrs. Mary Jean Waters was born November 08, 1937 in Eu- faula, Alabama to Anna Crowell and Henry Coley Jones, Sr. She graduated from Rosenwald High School in Panama City, FL and attended college briefly thereafter in 1957.
She later married her high school sweetheart, Cleveland John Allen Waters, before mov- ing to Tampa to start their new life together. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she worked as a Teacher’s Aide for over 20 years before retiring with the Hills- borough County Public School System, while raising their four children, Steven Waters, Audrey Smith, Terry Waters and Roder- ick Waters. She was an active member of the Stewardess Board at St. James AME Church of Progress Village.

MR. CHARLIE BERNARD WILLIAMS
Mr. Charlie Bernard Williams (Pee Wee), slipped away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister, as well as his great-great nephew.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ories: his companion of 34 years, 2 daughters, 2 step children, 8 grandchildren. He is survived by 7 siblings.
Charlie was educated in the Hillsborough County School Sys- tem. He was a graduate of the Robinson High School class of 1974. A devoted father, uncle, and brother, Charlie was loved by so many.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 9th at 1 p. m. at the Faith Worship and Deliverance Center, 3201 E. Genesse St., Tampa, FL. 33610, Pastor Rashidi Collins, officiating.
The family requests that friends arrive at 12:30 p. m. All flowers can be sent directly to the church.
