LeBron James Should Have 9 MVPs, Says Wizards' Scott Brooks
LEBRON JAMES
On Friday, the Lakers had a 125-103 win over the Wizards at the Staples Center. It was their tenth straight win, im- proving to 17-2 in the regular season.
LeBron James finished with 23 points, 11 assists, and three rebounds in just 25 min- utes.
Wizards coach Scott Brooks was in awe of James’ performance, which is the type of showing that’s been consis- tent throughout his 16-year ca- reer.
Per Fred Katz of The Ath- letic, Brooks said:
LeBron is a four-time MVP winner, earning the award in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013. In 2018, James Harden won the MVP. If Le- Bron keeps it up, he could very well win his fifth MVP.
Dion Waiters Apologizes For Team Plane Incident After Returning From Suspension
DION WAITERS
Dion Waiters is speaking
for the first time since an edible incident on a plane landed him a 10-game suspension.
Waiters apologized pub- licly after his suspension ended Saturday, taking responsibility for the incident that led to the guard having a medical episode on the team plane prior to a Nov. 8 game.
The 27-year-old is back in practice, but the Heat have not given any indication when he will return to game action. The details of what happened were pretty embarrassing, and the punishment was duly severe. Just because he’s eligible to play again doesn’t mean the or- ganization is completely over what happened. That’s doubly true when he was also sus- pended before the season for social media posts criticizing his role on the team.

This week, we honor Kimberly as our Beauty Unlimited fea- ture. As you can see, Kimberly loves the camera, and is more than ready to make a name for herself in the modeling and fashion in- dustry. Her relentless nature has proven to be successful for her as she’s already gotten her foot through the door for a lot of op- portunities. Congratulations to Kimberly for appearing as this week’s Beauty Unlimited feature.
Terry Glenn Jr., the son of former Pro Bowl and All- American receiver Terry Glenn, died of an accidental drug overdose on Thursday, as first reported by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
This comes approximately two years and a week after the elder Glenn tragically died in a car accident on his way home from a Dallas Cow- boys game.
Glenn, Jr. was report- edly found unconscious in a
bathroom by his family on Thanksgiving. They were in Columbus, Ohio, where Glenn. Sr. starred in college at Ohio State.
As the Star-Telegram’s Clarence E. Hill, Jr. noted, Glenn was greatly affected by the loss of his father, par- ticularly around this time of the year.
Glenn sent two tweets on Thursday morning remem- bering his father, who died at 43.
New York Jets Sign Nat King Cole's Grandson Wyatt
Ray To Practice Squad
The New York Jets signed Wyatt Ray to its practice squad this week.
Ray is the 23-year-old grandson of the late enter- tainment pioneer Nat King Cole and nephew of the Grammy Award winning chanteuse Natalie Cole.
Ray’s mother Casey and aunt Timolin are twin younger sisters of the leg- endary singer.
According to the Associ- ated Press, the 6-foot-3, 255- pound baller was initially signed by Cleveland in May as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College.
“The fact Ray went un- drafted is a shock in itself considering he was viewed as a Day 3 talent by most outlets and he had a more than solid

career at Boston College,” Josh Keatley reported for Brownswire.com in May.
“He certainly has enough traits to develop into a quality starter in the NFL,” he con- cluded.
The NFL Draft tracker gave Ray a 5.32 prospect grade, as they listed his strengths and weaknesses.
NFL Suspends
Cardinals Josh Shaw
The N.F.L. suspended Josh Shaw, an injured de- fensive back on the Arizona Cardinals, through at least the end of next season for betting on football games this year, the first such penalty in more than two decades.
The league said its investi- gators found no indication that Shaw used inside infor- mation or compromised any game, and his coaches and teammates were unaware that he was placing bets on N.F.L. games.
Still, the league took a hard line with Shaw, who cannot apply for reinstate- ment until after Feb. 15, 2021.
“The continued success of the N.F.L. depends directly on each of us doing everything necessary to safeguard the in- tegrity of the game and the

reputations of all who partic- ipate in the league,” Commis- sioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. “If you work in the N.F.L. in any capacity, you may not bet on N.F.L. foot- ball.”
Shaw can appeal the sus- pension but must do so within three days. The N.F.L. Players Association did not return a call for comment.
