Tupac Nominated To Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame
Tupac “2Pac” Shakur has been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. The late icon is one of the 19 nominees up for the 2017 class.
Janet Jackson, Pearl Jam, Chaka Khan, Chic, Jane’s Addiction, and Joan Baez are also nominated.
If 2Pac is chosen as a mem- ber of the ’17 Class, he would join N.W.A, Run-D.M.C., Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, and Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five as the only Hip Hop acts to be en- shrined in the Hall.
Shakur is one of the top- selling musical performers in history. The “Dear Mama” rap- per is regularly included on publications’ lists of the great- est and most influential emcees
The iconic television series that helped launch the careers of Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five, Lauryn Hill, D’Angelo and many others is returning for a special event.
Comedian Steve Harvey will host a 2-hour episode of Showtime At The Apollo. Har- vey spent seven years hosting the syndicated program.
“I’m excited to be going back home to the Apollo to celebrate the history of this great the- ater,” said Harvey.
The reimagined Showtime will be recorded at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York and air Monday, Decem- ber 5 on Fox.
