Gene Bell Celebrates
58th Anniversary Of Holy Propheteers
Earlier this month, Gene Bell of the Holy Propheteers of Bartow celebrated his 58th Anniver- sary in Gospel music. Bell, who resides in Bartow, has sung throughout the state and especially in the area. He held anniversary programs in Lakeland, Tampa, Plant City and the finale was in Bartow.

Gospel Community Passes After Brief Illness
Deacon John Miller,
manager of the Mighty Trav- eling Stars, a member of the Tampa Bay Gospel Legends, and a member of St. John Cathedral, passed away in Hospice care last Wednesday night (October 18th). He was 73 years old.
A native of Eufaula, Ala- bama, Miller sang gospel music for more than 50 years. He was also a member of the Tampa Bay Gospel Legends.
He retired from the City of Tampa Sanitation Dept. after 31 years, and 8 years with the Hillsborough County School District.
In addition to his wife, Marie, Miller is survived by 5 children and 2 grandchil- dren.

Funeral arrangements with Wilson Funeral Home will be 11 a. m. Saturday, Oc- tober 28, 2017, at St. John Cathedral.

Bishop R. M. Smith welcomed the guests to True Hope.
The Master of Ceremonies for the program was Bishop Al Baldwin of St. Petersburg.
Also in attendance were: Mamie Thompson and Martha Tolbert.
