‘Vampires Vs. The Bronx:’ Netflix Film Starring Method Man Sets Spooky October Premiere
Netflix has announced the premiere date and released first-look images for the up- coming film, Vampires vs. The Bronx. The film is from Saturday Night Live pro- ducer Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video.
It will be released on Octo- ber 2, just in time for Hal- loween. Here's the logline: A group of young friends from the Bronx fight to save their neighborhood from a band of vampires. Releases glob- ally on Netflix on October 2, 2020.

The film stars Jaden Michael, Gerald W. Jones, III, Gregory Diaz, IV, Sarah Gadon, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Shea Whigham, Coco Jones, Joel “The Kid Mero” Martinez, Chris Redd, Vladimir Caa- maño, Jeremie Harris, Adam David Thompson, Judy Marte, Richard Bekins, and Zoe Saldaña. It was written by Oz Ro- driguez and Blaise Hem- ingway and Z is the film's director.
‘Khalis’ Bell Dead At 68
Ronald “Khalis” Bell, a co-founder and singer of the group Kool & the Gang, has died. He was 68.
Bell died at his home in the U. S. Virgin Islands Wednes- day morning with his wife by his side, publicist Sujata Murthy said. The cause of death has not been released.
Kool & the Gang grew from jazz roots in the 1960s to become one of the major groups of the 1970s, blending jazz, funk, R&B and pop. After a brief downturn, the group enjoyed a return to stardom in the ’80s.
The group won a Grammy in 1978 for their work on the soundtrack for “Saturday Night Fever.”
Bell wrote and composed some of the group’s biggest

songs including “Celebration,” “Cherish,” “Jungle Boogie” and “Summer Madness,” which was used in several films including “Rocky” and “Baby Boy.” The song was also used in a Nike shoe commer- cial featuring LeBron James.
'The Chi' Renewed For Season 4
The Chi has been renewed for its fourth season at Show- time, Shadow and Act has learned.
The series, created and ex- ecutive produced by Lena Waithe will be back again on the premium cable net- work.
“This show has definitely taken me on a journey,” said Waithe in a statement. “One of learning, healing, and growth. I didn’t know how this season would be re- ceived, but the level of en- gagement and enthusiasm from the fans has been fan- tastic. I still can’t believe our numbers are up by double digits! THE CHI is a team ef- fort, and I’m grateful to con- tinue this journey with such an amazing group of people.”

The series is a coming-of- age story centering on a group of residents on the South Side of Chicago who become linked by coinci- dence but bonded by the need for connection and re- demption. Season three cast starred Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Jacob La-
timore, Alex Hibbert, Yolonda Ross, Shamon Brown Jr., Michael V. Epps and Birgundi Baker.
No word on which cast members will return for sea- son 4. Justin Hillian will return as showrunner and executive producer for the fourth season.
