Nuggets Call For Some 'Respect' After Upending Clippers In Game 7
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (15) and Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone, right, celebrate their win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Ex-New York Jets wide re- ceiver Josh Bellamy was ar- rested Thursday for his alleged role in a $24 million COVID-19 relief scheme, the U.S. Justice Department announced.
The complaint says that Bel- lamy, along with 10 other de- fendants, allegedly applied for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans via at least 90 fraud- ulent applications for a total more than $24M. According to the Justice Department's re- lease, many of those applications were approved, paying out at least $17.4M.
The Justice Department al- leges that the 31-year-old former NFL player obtained a $1.2 mil- lion PPP loan for his company Drip Entertainment LLC, but used the funds on luxury items and casino trips.
According to the release, Bellamy allegedly purchased over $104,000 in luxury goods

at Dior, Gucci and various jewel- ers with the proceeds of the PPP loan. He also allegedly spent ap- proximately $62,774 of the loan at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Bellamy al- legedly withdrew more than $302,000 in cash.
Bellamy was charged with wire fraud, bank fraud and con- spiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud in the Southern District of Florida.
It was Denver Nuggets coach Mike Malone's 49th birthday on Tuesday, and before Game 7 against the LA Clippers, center Nikola Jokic told his coach he had the perfect gift in mind.
"Coach, I'm going to get you a great present," he told Malone before the game. "I'm either going to get you home or get you to the Western Conference fi- nals."
As the Clippers' stars strug- gled, 23-year-old guard Jamal Murray shined again in a Game 7, scoring 40 points on 15-of-26 shooting in 45 minutes. Jokic was dominant, posting a triple- double (16 points, 22 rebounds, 13 assists), the second Game 7 triple-double of his career, tying Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rondo as the only play- ers to do it.
