AIKENS
MRS. BLANCHE WOODARD CROSS
A Graveside Celebration for Mrs. Blanche Woodard Cross of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020, will be held Saturday, September 19th, 11:30 a. m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Min. Tammy Fowler, officiat- ing. The interment will follow.
Blanche was born January 25, 1926 in Ocala, Florida, to the late Elias and Rebecca Woodard. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended school in Marion County. She enjoyed watching sports on tel- evision, crossword puzzles, but her favorite thing to do was baking pies and cakes for her family. She was a foster grandparent for 15 years. Blanche moved to Tampa met and married Shelly Cross, Sr.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Shelly Cross, Sr.; 4 children, Loretta E. Williams, Jacquelin M. Cross, Shelly Cross, Jr. and Kenneth Cross and par- ents.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories with: her 4 de- voted children, Billie L. Stennett, Rebecca R. Robinson, Deborah Williams, Gary D. Cross (Elouise) and like a daughter, Gaither Cross; her loving grandchildren, Tomeka Kinsey (Ronald), Patrick Carter, Tammie Fowler (Maurice), Bar- rington Whyte, Tracy Robinson, Kenia Carter (Reggie), Jerry Robinson (Yubonka), Todd Wilson (Carletta), Gary Cross, Jr., Carliss Stennett (Erin), Carla Stennett (Von), Andrew Robinson, Kim- berly Carter, Genelle Cross, Shel- lina Watkins, Christina McKay (Zachary), Brianna Williams, Michael Moore and Warren Williams, Jr.; 25 great-grandchil- dren; several great-great- grand- children; 1 sister, Carrie Howell of Ocala, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 18th, from 4 to 5:30 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.

MRS. CAROL MAULTSBY
A Private Homegoing Service for Mrs. Carol Maultsby, “Lady Carol,” of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020, will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Pastor Charlie Westbrooks, officiating.
Carol Celeste Maultsby was a native of Tampa, Florida, born March 9, 1954 to Isaiah Gilbert and Annie Jewel McQuay. She at- tended the schools of Hillsbor- ough County. Carol attended First Baptist Church of College Hill. She had many talents including, DJ, hairstylist, seamstress, show host, producer, playwright, actress, model, child care developer and many more.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Tony Mc- Quay and sister, Altamese Mc- Quay.
She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Wilbert Williams, Jr. and Narich Williams; grandchildren, Shakita Hammonds, Christopher Jodway, Narricka, Williams, Alexis Williams, Sherrod Paige, Julius, Logan, Trinity, Kartar and Samp- son Williams; great grandchil- dren, Isaiah Davis and Josiah Pettress; brother, David McQuay, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her.
The visitation for friends and family will be held at Aikens Fu- neral Home on Friday, September 18th from 4-6 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the serv- ice. We are following the CDC guidelines.

MS. TERESA MANDY WALKER
A Private Homegoing Cele- bration for Ms. Teresa Mandy Walker of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Tuesday, Septem- ber 8, 2020, will be held Satur- day, September 19th, 12 p. m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Willie Marshall, officiating. The interment will be held in Or- ange Hill Cemetery.
Teresa was born September 23, 1973 in Tampa, Florida, to Michael and Geneva Mandy. As a youth, she was raised in First Mt. Carmel AME Church, as an adult she later joined the family at Spring Hill M. B. Church. After graduating from her alma mater, Hillsborough High School, Teresa set to further her education at the University of Altierus Career Col- lege by attaining her associate’s degree in Business management. She pursued a career in the Health Care Management, where she accomplished many goals with her twenty plus years in the industry. Her last title was a Com- pliance Audit Specialist.
A friendly, gracious, articu- late, successful, accomplished in- dividual, she was forever striving to ensure the success of her chil- dren and grandkids and creating generational wealth. Teresa was a family person, with a heart of gold, always making sure anyone around her was having a great time and never wanting for noth- ing. This angel would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. In her freetime she loved family and friends gatherings and you would always find her running the spade table with her best friends.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Geneva Sue Smith Mandy; grandparents, Peter “Pete” and Erlene Jones; grand- parents, Willis, Sr. and Minnie Lee Mandy; uncle, Peter Smith; aunts, Frankie Mae Griggs and Mayel Brown; cousins, Cheryl Harris-Smith and Wayne Brown.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories with her fiancé, Phillip Knight; children, Jamela Davis (Jimmy), Dontavious Mandy (Eva), Ebony and Erick Walker and Tarick Barnes (god- son); grandchildren, Mia, Aleya and Jimmy Davis, III, Emoni, Malani and Riley Brown; father, Michael Mandy, Sr.; brothers, Lawrence Holton, Jr., Michael, Jr., and Joshua Mandy; sisters, Sherece, Brittany and Tiara Mandy; host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

MRS. FRANCHESTA PRICE
A Homegoing Celebration for Franchesta Price of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020, will be held Saturday, Septem- ber 19th, 10 a. m. at Aikens Fu- neral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Fran, as she is known by family and friends, is survived by: her son, Kendall and daugh- ter, Aleisha, and her daughter- in-law, Tracey; three grandchildren, Julion and Kennedi Price and Armand Chalk; two brothers, Louches J. H. Powell, Jr. (Johnny) and Ben- jamin (Benji).
Franchesta, was born to Ruth and Louches J. H. Powell (Henry) was born May 12, 1947 in Paterson, New Jersey. Her el- ementary and high school years were spent in Brooklyn, New York. During her early years, Fran was a member of Calvary African Methodist Episcopal Church (Brooklyn, New York). After graduating from Erasmus Hall High School, she attended Florida Agricultural and Me- chanical University (F. A. M. U.) graduating with a degree in Ele- mentary Education.
She began her professional career teaching in Alexandria, Virginia. Fran eventually relo- cated to Tampa, Florida, and continued her career as an ele- mentary educator until her re- tirement.
Franchesta and Sargent Lenard Price were married in Calvary A. M. E. Church. From this union their first child was born, Kendall. As a single par- ent, Fran adopted Aleisha. This little girl brought great joy to Fran, her siblings and extended family.
Continuing her walk with Christ, Fran joined The First Baptist Church of Progress Vil- lage. Consistent with her outgo- ing and friendly manner, Fran was a member of the Tampa Bay Red Hat Sistah’s.
Fran is predeceased by: her mother and father and younger sister, Juanita Anderson.
Fran will be missed by fam- ily, friends, former schoolmates, the Herkimer Street crew, and the Calvary and Progress Village families.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 18th from 3 to 5 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service.

         A Graveside Celebration for Ms. Angeline V. McFarlane of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020, after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Her loving fiancé, Cortez Samuel; her sister, Diane and her sons, were there by her side when she transitioned.
The graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17th, 1 p. m. at Orange Hill Ceme- tery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, Rev. Gregory Gay, pastor of Mt. Olive AME Church, officiating.
Angeline was born June 3, 1975 in Tampa, Florida. She spent most of her life as a resident of Tampa but, also lived in Tuskegee, AL and Ft. Walton Beach, FL, before returning home. Angeline was always a car- ing and nurturing woman, which she channeled into her career in the medical field. She spent the last 17 years working as a CNA and helping those in need, until her diagnosis 2019. In her sickest moment, Angeline was there to support others in any way that she could. She always had a smile or a joke for anyone who needed it.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Betty McFarlane.
Angeline leaves to mourn her memory: fiancé, Cortez Samuel of Tampa, FL; father, Jasper Mc- Farlane, Tampa, FL; 4 children, Karnesia Williams, Tesha Williams, Emmanuel Jackson, and Keevis Jackson, all of Tampa, FL; 4 siblings, Diane McFarlane of Loganville, GA, Evangeline “Suga Mama” Jackson, Archie Smith, both of Tampa, FL; and Quaneshala Johnson of Arling- ton, TX; 2 grandchildren, Daesha Williams and Jacai McClendon of Tampa, FL; and a host of other family and friends.
The visitation for family and friends will be held at Aikens Fu- neral Home on Thursday, Sep- tember 17th from 11-12 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside at 1 p. m. for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
