Female On Forbes
List Of Highest-
Paid Athletes List
Forbes re- cently re- leased its 2017 Highest-Paid Athletes and it's definitely testosterone- heavy.
That's right, Queen Serena has shattered the glass ceiling with an epic serve! Williams sits at number 51 on the 100- athlete list, earning $27 million in the last year (with $8 million attributed to salary and win- nings), per Time.
Like many athletes, a bulk of her wealth accumulates via en- dorsements. She is the highest- paid female athlete in the entire world, fabulously unseating Maria Sharapova from her 11-year throne in 2016.
Arguably one of the greatest athletes of all time, Williams has consistently exceeded al- ready astronomical expecta- tions, even recently dominating at the Australian Open and win- ning her 23rd Grand Slam while pregnant.
But there is
S e r e n a ONE wonder Williams is woman phe- #51 on the list.

Bethune-Cookman's won- drous run through the 2017 NCAA Gainesville Regional ended Monday with a 6-1 loss to the host, University of Florida.
The Wildcats’ final run was played before a McKethan Sta- dium crowd of 2,166, and an internet thoroughly enamored by the Wildcats' bleached beards and calm demeanor, despite the situation. The team’s passion and everything about the program is what made the entire accomplish- ment super special.
After losing to Bethune- Cookman for the first time in 31 meetings on Sunday night, the No. 3 national seed Florida Gators (45-17) got a three-run homer and a solid pitching ef- fort from freshman lefty Austin Langworthy to ad- vance to this weekend's Super Regionals, where they will host Wake Forest beginning Friday.
Bethune-Cookman, which
defeated two nationally ranked teams in USF and Florida on Sunday and posted more re- gional victories (three) in 36 hours than the two in the pre- vious 36 years, concludes the season at 36-25 with its 19th Mid-Eastern Athletic Confer- ence (MEAC) championship.
The 36 victories are the most in season in the former major league pitcher and BCU coach Jason Beverlin era and third-most in program history.
Bethune-Cookman broke the shutout in the seventh when Kyle Corbin scored from second when Josten Heron beat out a two-out in- field single, cutting the deficit to 4-1.
Two teams supposedly all but depleted of pitching put on a defensive display the first five innings.
Bethune-Cookman forced Florida to leave eight runners in scoring position before the sixth, while the Gators limited the Wildcats to three hits dur- ing that time and seven overall.

being hailed as someone who could change the future of the sport.
Wallace will become just the fourth African-American driver in NASCAR Cup history when he made his debut Sunday at Pocono Raceway in the iconic No. 43 Richard Petty Motor- sports Ford.
It's big news in a series where all the drivers and fans are white ... except for one.
Some say that if Wallace is successful, it could be a defining moment in the sport's history.
That's a lot of pressure to put on any driver. But the 23-year- old Wallace says he's had strong support from other com- petitors, including seven-time NASCAR Cup series champion Jimmie Johnson.

Derek Fisher apparently was not driving his own car when he was involved in a se- rious car accident over the weekend and arrested for sus- picion of driving while under the influence. We’ll give you one guess who the car be- longed to.
Matt Barnes, of course.
Fisher was driving with his girlfriend, Gloria Govan, when he rolled over in a 2015 Cadillac Escalade. Govan, of course, was mar- ried to Barnes until earlier this year. According to TMZ, the Cadillac is registered in Barnes’ name.
Govan and Barnes have

two children together, and a source told TMZ that Barnes gave Govan the Escalade to use “for the kids.” Barnes has yet to comment on the ac- cident.
