Tekashi 6ix9ine Gets His Bling
Last Monday night (July 30), Jay-Z premiered the first episode of his six-part docu- mentary on BET and Para- mount, Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story.
Directed by Jenner Furst and Julia Willoughby Nason and executive pro- duced with Martin's parents, the series takes an in-depth look at the 2012 shooting that left 17-year-old Travyon Martin dead at the hands of George Zimmerman. The first episode of Rest in Power features interviews with Martin's parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, as well as civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, who took Travyon's case.
The series also takes a look at the role the media played in the coverage of Martin's death, reinforcing stereotypes of Martin as a thug by using certain photos of him. The first episode ends with the release of the 911 audio, which the 17- year-old's parents were the first to listen to.
Ahead of the premiere of the first episode, Jay-Z, who produced the documentary, spoke with The New York Times and said he hopes the film will lead to viewers want-

Tekashi69 has a sparkle in his eye again because the rapper got replacements for his allegedly jacked jewelry less than two weeks after they went missing.
The “FEFE” rapper showed off his brand new 24 carat Jig- saw and 69 spinner chains, made from scratch in 10 days by Jimmy Boi, a celebrity street jeweler.
Tekashi claimed he was kidnapped and robbed at gun- point a couple weeks back, but clammed up once it came to

ing to analyze Florida's contro- versial "Stand Your Ground" law, which gives individuals the right to use fatal force when they feel their personal safety is threatened. It is the law that got George Zim- merman acquitted for killing Trayvon Martin.
“This law, we have to get people to understand what it says,” the rapper said. “Of course, he will not be found guilty. It’s very difficult to be found guilty with this law as it stands today.”
The Brooklyn MC also hopes the docu-series will
change the minds of those who say Martin "had a hoodie on" or those who "hide behind the idea of, 'No way that hap- pened. Something had to be going on.'"
Rest in Power is the second recent documentary to be pro- duced by Jay-Z, following the release of Time: The Kalief Browder Story. The film went on to earn Hov a Peabody Award in the documentary cat- egory.

Royalties In Danger Of Being
3rd Suspect Arrested For XXXTentacion's Murder
Sean Kingston might have his music royalties gar- nished to pay off a $314,000 judgment he has blown off for years.
Kingston was sued by the jeweler Haimov Jewelers, who accused him of screwing them out of $44k by refusing to pay for items loaned to him, in- cluding a Rolex and diamond bracelet.
The “Beautiful Girls” singer never showed up to court to re- spond and a default judgment was entered in the amount of $314,138.22. The amount was actually larger than the amount requested due to retroactive interest.
On June 29, docs were filed in the case by Haimov Jewelers demanding Sony Music turn over all documents relating to

the rapper — including copies of the front and back of the last four checks paid by Sony to Kingston, complete copies of any written authorization for employment by him and all copies of any and all W-2s, 1099s or other tax records for him in their possession for the past three years.
After being denied bail by a South Florida judge last week, Robert Allen, the third man arrested in connection with the murder of beloved rapper XXXTentacion, entered a plea of not guilty.
According to court docu- ments obtained by XXL, on Wednesday (Aug. 1), Allen's attorney James Lewis filed a not guilty plea on behalf of his client. At this point, it appears the suspect will take his chances at trial, barring a later plea agreement. He faces charges of first-degree murder, robbery and drug possession.
After being named as a per- son of interest in the case on June 27, police released a war- rant for Allen's arrest on July 3, naming him as one of the people seen possibly plotting on XXX in Riva Motorsports just prior to his shooting.
After evading capture for a few weeks, Allen was arrested at his sister's home in East- man, GA. without incident, on July 25. The following day, he was extradited to South Florida where he is currently

being held without bond. Allen is one of four men in- dicted by a grand jury for their alleged roles in XXX's June 18 death including Michael Boatwright (22), Trayvon Newsome (20) and Dedrick Williams (22). Police believe the four men spotted XXXTentacion with a large amount of cash shopping for motorcycles at Riva Motor- sports in Deerfield Beach, Fla.,
and plotted to rob the rapper. Authorities believe the four- some blocked X's exit in the parking lot in a dark-colored SUV and Newsome and
Boatwright approached the rapper's car and demanded money. A brief struggle ensued and the "Sad!" rapper was shot and killed, with the culprits making off with a bag report- edly containing cash.
Williams was the first to be arrested and charged, two days after the murder. He later entered a not guilty plea on June 25.
Boatwright was arrested on non-related charges on July 5 and served with a warrant for X's murder on July 10. New- some currently remains at large.
