MOTHER GAIL ANITA BRAXTON
Mother Gail Anita Braxton went home to her Heavenly Fa- ther on January 3, 2021.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 11 a. m., at Life In Christ Community Ministries Church, 9706 N. 26th St., Tampa, FL 33612. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, 4406 E. Chelsea St., Tampa (33610). All at- tendees should wear masks and follow CDC guidelines.
Gail Braxton was born in the small town of Anthony, near Ocala, FL, to the late Edgar L. Woods and Pernalla B. Woods.
In 1969, she graduated from Fessenden High School in Marion County. Mother Braxton spent 35 years working with the Hillsbor- ough County Public School Board, retiring in 2016.
She was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost at New Hope Apostolic Church in 1979. She remained a devoted woman of God and a faithful member of Jesus Saves Thru Faith Church of God the Bibleway in Tampa, FL. She made several contributions in the evan- gelistic department by volunteer- ing with Good Samaritan Ministries, where she spent time preparing food for homeless indi- viduals alongside her husband. Mother Braxton dedicated more time into Ashley’s Project, a church-based project founded by her granddaughter, Ashley Ford, to create and deliver care pack- ages for the poor.
On May 16, 1970, she married Elder Ernest Braxton, Jr., in a union spanning 50 years. They had two children together: daugh- ter, Trenise L. Braxton, and son, Clinton E. Braxton, Sr. (Tashyanna). She was the grand- mother of 4 grandchildren: Mi’ki’esha T. Cummings, Ashley M. Ford, Makayla M. Ford, and Clinton E. Braxton, Jr. She was also the great-grandmother of Zoey A. Daniels.
Mother Braxton is the 10th of 12 siblings in total: Robert L. Woods (Carrie), the late Frank E. Woods (Shirley), Julia E. Hamil- ton (Henry), Isaiah Woods, the late McDaniel Woods (late Matilda), Jimmie L. Woods, Annie J. Doby (Willie), Priscilla Johnson (late Rudolph), Mae F. Johnson (Alton), Reginald Woods (Ti- juana), and Maggie N. Woods; a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
The viewing will be Friday, January 15, 2021, 5-7 p. m., at Charlow Funeral Home, 1010 E. Laura St., Plant City, FL 33563.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. James Edward Flanning, Sr., who passed away on January 04, 2021, will be held at 3 p. m. on Saturday, Janu- ary 16, 2021, at Integrity Funeral Serv- ices, 3822 E. 7th Avenue, Tampa, with Apostle Andrew Holder, officiating, eulogist.
Mr. James Edward Flanning, Sr., was the son of the late Robert Mills and raised his entire life by the late Mr. Robert Palmore, Sr. His mother was the late Ms. Ruby Lee Davenport (Palmore).
Mr. James Edward Flanning, Sr. was born in Tampa, Florida on April 02, 1960. He was called to his heav- enly home on January 04, 2021.
He was preceded in death by: his brother, Willie Flanning, Sr. and his sister, Trenice Covington.
He leaves to cherish his memories with: his fiancée, Deborah Johnson; 2 sons, James Edward Flanning, Jr. (Christina), Xavier Graham (Amanda); 3 daughters; 10 plus grandchildren; 6 aunts: Lelia Lee (Teababy), Shirley, Virginia, Annie Loise, Barbara and Patsy; uncles: Willie B. Sharp; step-father: Theodis Covington; 3 brothers: Robert Pal- more, Jr., Andre Palmore and Marvin Palmore, Sr.; god-brother, Ron Brown; 5 sisters: Saminthia Jackson, Chantal Mills, Denise Covington (Dale), Michelle Covington and a sis- ter in Orlando, FL; godsisters: Felicia and Inita; brother-in-law, Willie Jack- son; 3 like brothers: Judge Palmore, Michael Polite and Bobby Polite; 25 nephews and nieces and a multitude of grand nephews and grand nieces; special cousins: Johnnie Mae, Liz and Larry Palmore; special friend, Ms. Mott and other sorrowing relatives and friends.

MRS. MARVENIA A. COX
A Celebration of the Life of Mrs. Marvenia A. Cox, who passed-away January 1, 2021, will be held 12 noon, Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Heaven Destiny Church, 4104 E. El- licott St., Tampa, FL, 33610. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Tampa, FL, 33610.
Marvenia Cox was the 2nd born out of four children in Sardis, Geor- gia, on September 16, 1955, to Ms. Gladis Aikens. Marvenia came to Tampa and became a cook at Rintz Diner for several years before she obtained her CNA license here in Tampa and worked in her profes- sion as a CNA at Pagent Nursing Home for 16 years, and at Habana Healthcare for another 15 years.
Marvenia Cox was a God-fear- ing, feisty woman. You would al- ways hear her say, “Me and God will handle this!” She was truly the per- fect example of love. Marvenia was a faithful member of Heaven Des- tiny AOG Church under the leader- ship of Pastors Tom and Williemae Jones.
She was preceded by: her mother Gladis Aikens; husband, Jimmy James Cox; brother, James Aikens; sister, Hattie Carr; brother, Bobby Allen; and her “dog” Ty Cox.
Marvenia leaves to cherish many fond memories to: her chil- dren, Yvonne Cox, Jimmy James Cox, Jr., Christopher Cox, April Cox and Courage Cox (her cat); aunt, Hattie B. Parker and uncle, George Aikens, Sr.; two nieces, Hatisha Carr and Alice Sapp; four nephews, Kyle Allen, Lewis Carr, Jr., Jamie Aikens and JeanMarc Joseph; eight grandchildren, Orbriella Bailey, Jacquez Manuel, Antwon Townsend, William Cox, Ri-Naja Cox, Lovette Beasley, Christopher Cox, Jr., and Bernard Walker, Jr., in addition to, five great grands.
She also leaves behind a host of devoted relatives, friends, godchil- dren, and stepchildren that she adopted by heart.
Mrs. Marvenia Cox’s wake will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, from 6-7 p.m. at Heaven Destiny As- sembly of God.

A private service in honor of Pas- tor Martha G. Watson, who passed away on January 5, 2021, will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 2 p.m., at Harmon Funeral Home, 5002 N 40th Street Tampa, Florida 33610, with Pastor Enrique Brooks of The Thryve Church Officiating. In- terment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea St., Tampa, FL 33610.
Martha G. Watson was born Martha V. Grimes on November 5, 1949. She graduated from Middleton High School in 1967 and Retired from ALLTEL/Verizon Wireless in 2009.
Martha created “Barch’s Desk- top Publishing” In 1996. Sister Martha, along with Sister Tonja Cobb, created Spiritual Touch Chris- tian Women’s Group. The outreach group was designed to bring women together.
In 2006, Martha was ordained Pastor Martha Watson under the leadership of Bishop Willard L. Lee, New Smyrna Full Gospel Cathedral. Pastor Martha volunteered weekly at Ybor City Healthcare and Rehabili- tation Center.
While her physical presences will be greatly missed her impact will never be diminished.
Martha joins siblings: Deacon John Foster, Minister Leroy Grimes; grandson, SPC Fredrick Jenkins, III, and Oneta Grimes; Pastor Eddie James and Carolyn Grimes, Thomas Grimes, Minister Priscilla Grimes; Minister Carlton, Celeste Grimes, and Brother Timothy Grimes.
In charge of her legacy she leaves: Virgil Grimes (son), grand- children, Christopher Grimes, Jor- dan Grimes, Kalicia Green, Abigail Grimes, Lisa Jenkins, (daughter), Fred Jenkins (son-in-law), grand- children: SSG. Cameron Jenkins, Mr. Kevin Jenkins, SPC. Calvin Jenkins, Sgt. Nicholas Jenkins, SPC. A Homegoing Celebration for Dea- con James (Shorty) Mack, who passed away December 30, 2020, will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021 at True Life Ministries Christian Wor- ship Center, 7402 N. 56 th St., Tampa, FL 33617, with Senior-Pastor, Bishop Calvin Green and Co-Pastor First Lady Angela Green officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Deacon Mack was a native of Or- angeburg, South Carolina. He was born on June 27, 1915.
He was employed by United Cab Company for numerous years before retiring. He was very active right up to the ripe age of 94 years old. God blessed him to live 105 fruitful years.
He was preceded in death by his parents: mother, Mary Pearson Jones and stepfather, William Jones; brother, George Shiver; and sister, Willie Mae Richardson.
Deacon James (Shorty) Mack was a member of True Life Ministry Wor- ship Center, where Bishop Calvin Green is the minister.
He leaves to cherish his memo- ries: his nieces, Mary Richardson and Louise R. Belin; great nieces, Angela Daniels, Jackie Gauntt, Valerie Gauntt, Linda and Richardson Lee; great nephews, Eric Richardson, Eddie Gauntt, Vincent Richardson, Harold Richardson, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends and the entire community of Sulphur Springs; spe- cial friends, Deacon Marvin Benjamin, Sr.; Sister Verna Benjamin, Deacon Curtis Solomon, Minister Cheryl Solomon, Edgar Allen, Sonia, Shirley Reese, Frances Nappier, Wesley (Boy) Bryant, Gabriella Bryant, Ronald Richardson, Reggie and the Richard- son Family; Roscoe Glymph, Richard (Bro) Brooks, and Brooks Family; Tanya and Mary (Sister) Willis.
